Hi, This feature should work without problem in the Web console. Could you please post a screesnot illustrating the problem? Thanks, Jiri

Hi joetech, Menu-based devices may be tricky. Please consider opening a support case. Regards, Jiri

Hi mattschorr, You have to configure that on the device. NCM can't do anything about a device not sending the key. Regards, Jiri

Hi bleearg13, The behavior you describe is by design. Starting with NCM 7.3, NCM additional pollers behave consistently with the rest of Orion modules -- each poller manages the nodes that are assign to it. You can no longer use NCM main poller to manage all NCM nodes. Which leads us to one of the possible explanations of…

Hi Steven, I've consulted with our dev team and unfortunately, you can't get rid of the config excerpts. Regards, Jiri

The Admin guide that you refer to speaks about NCM 7.4 where device template management has been moved to the Settings in the Web UI. You seem to have an older version, which means info from superfly99 applies. Jiri

Sorry, there's no "undelete" function for jobs. Jiri

Hi jratliff, Could you please post the exact error/screenshot? Thanks, Jiri

Hi Nigel, I found out that in the meantime, you resolved the problem with help of SolarWinds engineering. Could you please post the solution here? I have all the data but you might not want to expose all details etc. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Could you please provide more information? What does the script look like? What does the output say etc. Thanks, Jiri

HP EVA is not supported by SRM and you cannot add it. You can install SRM Profiler and monitor the EVA there. Jiri

Hi egilston, As long as an Orion account has enough NCM privileges (see NCM Role settings when you edit the account), it can perform any NCM action you need. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, There's no such possiblity. (You can delete the reports you don't need, of course.) You can create a feature request if you want. Regards, Jiri

Hi HerrDoktor / Holger, I checked our customer DB; you logged a support ticket for this issue, which is marked resolved. Is the problem gone now? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi, Did you succeed in resolving the problem? If not, consider contacting our support -- that might be the most efficient way. Thanks, Jiri

Hi shack, Please disregard the statement -- it's no longer valid for NCM 7.2.x. I'll have that fixed. There's nothing special required for a job to run on all pollers -- the job on each poller will only target devices on that poller. Don't be afraid to enable the highlighted option in NCM. Regards, Jiri

Steve, I think you have two possibilities here. * Address for next hop can be somehow derived from e.g. IP of the router. * Address for next hop can't be derived from router information (IP, hostname etc.) In both cases, you will need to create a Config Change Template. The general skeleton will look like this (example…

Hi hulattp, That's a great question. Unfortunately, NCM can't tell whether there's no EoL announcement for a particular device or whether it only doesn't have the data. Looking forward to ideas. Regards, Jiri

Greg, I'm not sure -- did you resolve the problem/question with Andy? If yes, could you please post the solution here? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Larry, Could you please share a bit more details? A concrete example? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi keycii, That's not possible now. It's a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi frama, Negative -- the thick client is gone for good. Regards, Jiri

How about: script WhseASWPorts(NCM.Nodes @ContextNode, string @IDFNumber, string @SiteID) { //TODO - enter port configuration settings on Warehouse IDF-ASW switches string @myDesc = @SiteID + '-' + @IDFNumber + '-WAP-01' //Enter CLI commands CLI { configure terminal ! interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1 description @myDesc end…

dthvt, There's an extra curly bracket. After I removed it, the template started to work. NCM obviously ignores everything after the closing bracket. Regards, Jiri
-
Very useful post indeed. Did you have to change anything in SRM? Jiri

Hi, We don't have list of supported devices. (Long story short: there are devices supported out-of-the box, there are templates on thwack, you can develop your own template. There is a very small group of devices that cannot be supported from principle -- typically low-end devices without CLI.) Regarding Fortigate: there's…

Thanks, that's very helpful content. Jiri

Hi Shane, NCM scheduled config change reports currently don't allow comparing configs from different devices. You can, at least, run the task manually in the Web Console -> Configuration Management -> Compare Selected Configs. Here you can select 2 configs from different devices. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Our engineering team say, the issue should be resolved when you use an account with admin rights to manage scheduled tasks. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, That depends on the version of NCM you have. Jobs were moved to the Web UI in NCM 7.2. Prior to that, they can be found in the desktop application. Regards, Jiri
