Hi hthit, We don't have a list of devices that work with NCM. Basically, almost any device with CLI works -- there are just a few exceptions. Regarding Xsigo, you will have to create a device template. Take e.g. one for Cisco and modify it according to info here: Re: how to download xsigo config. Regards, Jiri

Hi thekraken, If you are sure that the OIDs you need are not collected by NCM, then you just need to run an appropriate "show" command (in Cisco terminology) that displays the required information. Not sure if that paricular command is what you have asked for; if yes, please disregard my answer. Regards, Jiri

Just out of curiosity, why don't you move directly to SQL Server 2012? Regards, Jiri

Hi Whit Richardson, You have to upgrade to NCM 7.2 (i.e. 7.2.2) if you want the search int the Web UI to work fast and properly. Then you can adjust various settings regarding this functionality. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Go to Settings -> NCM Settings -> Add or Manage Nodes and group the grid by 'Licensed by NCM'. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Do you want these devices not to be managed by NCM at all (and continue to be montored by NPM etc.), or you just don't want to back up the configuration but leave them in NCM? Regards, Jiri

I double-checked with our engineers and yes, it's safe to remove this custom property in NCM 7.4. Jiri

Hi Peter, first be sure you check this thread. It gives you intructions how to adjust the device template for your contexts. If you want to be able to download configuration for all contexts with "one click", you can create a (scheduled) job for it. Regards, Jiri

Hi Jeff, This looks like a bit complicated device to handle. One idea: have you tried specifying the enable password in NCM (Win32 or Web) instead of putting it into the template? Anyway, it would be probably best to open a support case and post back the results. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi toddam310, NCM currently always uses the same credentials to log in to the device. What you describe would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri
-
Michael, If the problems persisted, I'd advise you to open a support case. Regards, Jiri

Hi bharris, The old jobs of NCM 7.0.2 are left on the file system in the Jobs folder as a backup. The majority of the jobs should be migrated without problems. However, because the old jobs are based on Windows Task Scheduler, some of them (liek execute a program) cannot be migrated in principle. Regards, Jiri

Do you want to back clock, env, etc. separately, or everything into one file? Jiri

Hi ravvad, I'm not a F5 expert, so let me ask: Will the backup that you need include a .ucs archive or other binary file? Regards, Jiri

Hi jenksd, NCM currently doesn't have the ability to parse output of a script. Is there any other way to find out the Active Unit status? Regards, Jiri

Hi erik.boyer@hcr-manorcare.com, Have you set the prompt timeout to 120 seconds as suggested here: Cisco Wireless LAN controllers and Cisco WISMs and here: Cisco WLC AIR-WLC2106-K9-1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.1.1.4.3.ConfigMgmt-Commands? Regards, Jiri

If you are talking about SRM Orion module, you don't have to do anything unless you want to use Storage Manager (or SRM Profiler) at the same time and integrate the licensing. Please share some details of your setup. Jiri

Hi , Yes, in the current version of NCM you have to be full Orion admin to use the Manage NCM Nodes page. Regards, Jiri
