Hi, Do I understand you correctly that you are interested in the username that logged in to the device and made the change? Do you mean a user who connected directly or via NCM? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, It's NCM v7.1 -- most of the settings have been moved to Web UI. A few small things will be migrated in the next release. But this is just the settings. Other than that, there's still some functionality that's only in Win32 -- jobs, reports etc. The long-term goal is to move everything to Web; we're just not there yet.…

Hi jim.bingen, The move to SWISv3 is something we are currently working on for NCM. Regards, Jiri
-
Stuart, The EOL feature doesn't need Internet connection at all -- the data comes with the product. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Please create an idea in the feature request space. Jiri

Do I understand you correctly that there is nothing on SolarWinds side that can be done? Regards, Jiri

I've checked our customer DB and your organization has a maintenance agreement for NCM. Therefore I suggest opening a support case because this would be the most effective way to solve the problem. You can then post the result here so that we all know what the problem was. Regards, Jiri
-
That's strange. Maybe re-enter the device credentials so that we are sure, there is no problem with them.
-
These are different versions of SSH protocol. Try SSHAuto first; if it doesn't work, try SSH2 and SSH1. Jiri
-
Yes, exactly!
-
You said you were able to connect to the switch using putty. Did you use telnet or SSH? Because the session trace shows telnet. J.
-
OK, so as suggested above, enable session tracing (File -> Settings) and then try to download the config. You will find the traces (log files) in NCM directory in Program Files. Take a look at the trace and/or post it here. Jiri

No, I just want to make sure that NCM can log in. The best way to be sure is to validate the credentials in Win32 client: You'll also find here the System OID. This is important to identify the device and we'll need it later. Jiri
-
OK, the first thing to check are the login credentials. Are you able to log in to the switch manually? E.g. using putty? If yes then you must enter the same credentials in NCM. (Please consult admin guide to achieve that.) Then I would go to Cisco pages, find documentation for your model (there are different 3750's) and…
-
That's not enough ;-). We need to know the exact model. Jiri
-
The problem is, different devices have different command syntax. We need to know at least the device type to help you. Jiri
-
superfly99, There's an easier way of doing this. Even on the NPM/Core node management page you can group the nodes according to their NCM status: Yes, then you have to edit the node properties to add them to NCM. This is going to be improved by adding new action "Add to NCM". Regards, Jiri

Hi, OK, I'll reply for SolarWinds but I believe it would be also interesting to see what other customers think. Maybe you could ask why we have the integrated deployment on a separate server. It's because of historical development. NCM used to be a standalone product and was integrated with Orion Platform (Core) in v7.…

You can run the maintenance jobs more frequently and also configure NCM to show less number of lines before and after each change (by default it is 5). That's what the engineers said. Jiri
-
Hi All, NCM currently can't distinguish between trunk and access mode interfaces. This would be a feature request to enhance the inventory to collect such information. Feel free to create a feature request in the ideation area. Regards, Jiri
-
That's corrent, thanks superfly99. sdawson35, what version of NCM do you have? Jiri
-
Thanks, Ben. I will find out what/if we need something for Lefthands now and let you know. Jiri
-
Hi gljb77, It's a feature request: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3274 Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Actually there is a free edition: Free Syslog Server | Kiwi Free Edition You are right, the download link doesn't work. I'll have that fixed. Thanks for reporting. Regards, Jiri
-
Glad to help :-).

I replied here: Re: Need a command for F5 to remote copy to server Jiri

Hi alexm26, Our engineers advise that you check the transaction id SW155193 on Cisco Smart Advisor portal and after that please send me the logs for further investigation. Have you managed to submit any reports before this one, or does this issue occur every time you try to use the application? Jiri
-
Hi, NCM 7.1, currently in release candidate phase, add better support for DB maintenance (). However there may still be some changes based on feedback we have received. Once we come to conclusion, I will post more information here. (If I happen to forget, please remind me.) Regards, Jiri

This HF could help: . Jiri
