We are working on the items mentioned in the original post. Jiri

Hi, We cannot comment on future plans beyond the content of this What We Are Working On post. Jiri
-
I would love to, but I really can't. We never communicate such ETAs.
-
Whoever starts his/her post with "Some say ..." has my attention .
-
The long-term plan is to include these out of the box in NCM.
-
I didn't mean the Config tabs of each individual node, but the "Configuration Management" tab -- http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/NCM/ConfigurationManagement.aspx.
-
These actions are for adding and removing nodes to/from NCM, so it's related to node management. But I agree that every user has slightly different opinion about ideal UI.
-
I'm still not sure why you want to take the backup from here and not e.g. from the Config management tab. Could you please describe the other actions you take on this page?
-
Why would you need that action here? You can back up the running config on other places. What use case would this cover? Thanks in advance. Jiri
-
Derik, We should have a Beta at the beginning of 2016, but I can't tell you when exactly. Jiri
-
glink, Have you taken a look at section "Manipulating Strings" of Chapter 8: Working with Config Change Templates in the admin guide for NCM 7.4? I believe this is what you need. Jiri
-
I hear you, but can't promise anything . Jiri
-
Hi Derik, I recommend the following resources: * Admin guide -- http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/orionNCM/docs/orionNCMAdministratorGuide.pdf * More Automation in NCM: Usage of Variables and Custom Properties in Command Scripts and Config Change Templates * A Few Tips and Tricks When Creating NCM Config Change…
-
Derik, Yes, NCM will definitely perform various checks before the actual upgrade. Once we have a Beta, we will be happy to discuss the flow with you in detail. Regards, Jiri
-
Yes, the fix will be available in one of the future releases. Jiri
-
Thanks.
-
Hi planglois, The key question is whether any command(s) to display configuration (like show running-config) changed. (Looking at info on v15, it doesn't seem to be that case.) If not, then NCM shouldn't have any problems with iOS v15. If yes, then you'll have to change the device template(s) to include the new command.…
-
Hi, Unfortunately not. It's a feature request -- . Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Ayo, I would like to extend Lorenzo's useful hints with some more. I recommend you to check this thread which gives you the big picture of the whole situation. I don't know Alteon CLI but a quick Google search gave me the following: The command to backup the config in the CLI probably looks like Configuration# ptcfg…
-
Not now, but we know about this feature request.
-
Actually, if you want to help us develop support for IBM FlashSystem and have any of the following devices: IBM Flashsystem V9000 IBM Flashsystem A9000/A9000R IBM Flashsystem DS8888 please send me an email or private message. (You can also expect a decent amount of thwack points if you help us .) Jiri
-
IBM XIV is supported by SRM Profiler already.
-
Mario, We are aware of the request for Hitachi H-NAS. However, per our policy we can't comment beyond this WWWO post. Regards, Jiri
-
We hope to have a Beta in not-so-far future, but I can't tell you when exactly.
-
We can't comment on the timelines, but IBM FlashSystem is very high on our priority list. Those with SVC software are much easier to support than without it.
-
Thanks!
-
Pure storage support is already in SRM 6.3 Beta (SRM 6.3 Beta 1 Is Available!) -- now this Beta is over, but you can expect further news very soon!
-
Thanks for the feedback.
-
Ben, Definitive roadmap with timelines is exactly what we cannot share. We know there a devices that are supported by STM (a.k.a. Profiler) and not SRM Orion. We are working on plans to address this. Jiri
-
Ben, As you can see, Nimble is high on our priority list -- otherwise, it wouldn't be listed here. The other items would be feature requests. Thanks for the feedback. Jiri
