Hi, This is another thing that we are looking at and plan to discuss with Cisco. Jiri
-
All, We investigated the issue and found out that "UserID is not valid" is a message returned by Cisco API. We will follow-up with Cisco to find out the root cause. When we use our testing Cisco accounts, everything works as expected. Jiri
-
I'm not sure I understand what you ask for. Could you please add more details? Jiri

Sorry, what issue do you mean? It's a bit difficult to recognize what you are replying to. Jiri

Hi, This is a known issue in NCM 7.2. The ultimate resolution is upgrading to NCM 7.3 -- specifically 7.3.2 as of now. Short-term workaround is to set the authentication to use password, fill in some value and then change back to none again. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi shawn_b, To resolve the problem, run the NCM config wizard and then Orion config wizard (all options checked for both of them). Andy is right. The ultimate fix is in NCM 7.2.2. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Scott, The templates to modify are located in <SolarWinds Install Dir>\Orion\NCM\DeviceTypes. If you want the downloaded files to be managable in NCM, you'll have to create a new config type for each. However this makes sense for text files only. The steps are described in the thread above. (The only difference is that…

Hi Scott Sadlocha, Yes, you can backup Palo Alto with 7.2 (newest 7.2.2 now). You can test it by downloading eval version installing on a different machine than your production NCM. Please let me know whether the PA backup works for you. Regards, Jiri

Hi, I'm going to contact you offline to discuss your concerns; however I can say that we are planning to improve the Web UI so that the work flows resemble the Win32 application. This is also one of the reasons we are a bit late with updating the What We Are Working On post -- we have been planning the improvements really…

You could experiment a little bit with precommands: <Command Name="PreCommand" Value="${UserName}"/> <Command Name="PreCommand" Value="${Password}"/> If your device is configured to use the global values, it should work. Othervise you can try using ${GlobalUsername} and ${GlobalPassword}. Jiri

cnorborg, I know about this post and I'm sorry I haven't replied yet. It's very busy here before Christmas. I'll try to take a closer look during this week. Jiri
