I found out that you also have LEM. LEM can help you with NCUA as it has some reports out of the box. If you need more details, please ask in the LEM forum. Jiri

The answer depends on what other Orion modules you have. Unlike STM/Profiler, SRM Orion module doesn't monitor virtualization or physical servers. If you have VMAN and e.g. SAM, you should be OK. The other option is to use both Profiler and SRM Orion at the same time. Feel free to outline your setup and use cases and we…

Hi Stephen Occhiogrosso, Points by fholzapfel are really great. I would add that you might want to enable TDE on your SQL server: Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) Regards, Jiri

Hi, What version of NCM are you running? This thread was inactive for a couple of months. It's possible that the problem would go away with the newest NCM release (7.0.2). Regards, Jiri

Thanks, I've opened it for voting. Jiri

Hi, If Sourcefire behaves like a Linux box, the following thread might help: . The post is a little bit old and only refers to the Win32 application but in the current version of NCM you can achieve the same things in the Web. Regards, Jiri

Amit, NCM stopped using Windows scheduler in v7.2. Jiri

Hi, I've moved your question to the NPM forum which is more suitable for this kind of inquiry. Regards, Jiri
-
Good to see that you resolved the issues. Do you have any other feedback on NCM 7.1? Regards, Jiri
-
By the way, have you considered upgrading to NCM 7.2? The job scheduling has been moved to the Web UI. Jiri

Hi otto, The NCM data will be migrated to the NPM/Core database. We recommend to back up your data before the upgrade, but after you complete the procedure successfully, the NCM database is no longer needed. Regards, Jiri

Actually, this was a SolarWinds platform issue, not NCM. I took a look at your case and found out that upgrade to NPM 10.4.2 resolved the issue. Jiri

I agree there is space for improvement for the CCT language, examples etc. Specifically for the string manipulation functions (new in 7.1), you may want to check . For general CCT introduction, there is another blog post: . Regards, Jiri

Please post the fix -- the more people can find it the better. Thanks, Jiri

Hi If you think that the unused ports table contains wrong data, you may want to open a support case. Regards, Jiri

You should notice improvement in NCM 7.4.x -- matching is primarily done according to part numbers and the low-reliability suggestions are no longer shown. Jiri

Hi , I agree that matching based on Part number is one of the good possible enhancements. Regards, Jiri

Hi , You are correct. The ASA - Catalyst confusion is a known problem and we're working on remediation. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Thank you for the data. Can you please create a voting idea regarding the stacks? Regards, Jiri

Hi, Thank you very much for the information. We definitely plan to introduce crowd-sourcing for missing EoL data. System OID is the ideal matching information we would love to have. Unfortunately, vendors do not publish their EoL announcement with this info. That's the root cause of all difficulties with EoL/EoS. Regards,…

Hi, Creating the batch for backing up the IOS should not be very difficult. But I don't see a way to check whether the image has already been archived. Jiri

That sounds interesting. Probably would need some experimenting. Jiri

The problem has been fixed. Jiri

BTW, have you taken a look at the content exchange? There are quite a few templates for IOS upgrades that you can use as a starting point. And don't hesitate to share your result. Jiri

Hi Emre, As far as I know, Checkpoint devices have a binary configuration that are not supported by NCM. If that doesn't apply to your model, please let me know and I will help you with the template. Regards, Jiri

Makes sense. There's no workaround. Jiri
