I was hoping that would work. Thanks.

We are seeing the same issues. I ran the DB Maint manually last week and let it finish (about 30 hours). After that, a manual run only took about 30 minutes. However, this weekend, it started at 12:30 AM Saturday and I had to kill it this morning at 4:30 AM to get the main polling engine to resume collecting data at more…

I just applied SP2 to both of my pollers as Mark suggested. UnDP certainly loads a lot faster. I will give it a day or two. If the polling issue is not corrected I will open a support ticket. Thank you.
-
Any further word from Support yet?
-
Will these improvements include fixing it so that pollers that are applied to 1500+ interfaces actually collect data?
-
You should be able to end the process if you are logged in with an account in the Local Administrators group.
-
I just tried that. It did not work. I am still getting the timeout error.
-
That makes sense. So any idea what, on my Windows Server 2003 would have UDP port 68 tied up so that APM cannot successfully complete the DHCP test?
-
I have found that the problem starts only after a reboot of the affected server. My server guys have attempted to restart SNMP afterwards to no avail. All of the reboots in question, to my knowledge, were partly due to Windows Updates being applied. One of the updates most likely broke something with SNMP.
-
How does this monitor work? Does it just check the request and response ports (67 & 68 by default) for response time? Or does it actually attempt to get a lease from the DHCP server?
-
Are there any updates to this issue. I am seeing the same problem. I just applied SP1 this morning.

I just opened Case #55374

In the Nodes table of the NPM database there is a column (5th one in) labeled UnManaged. The values are either 'True' or 'False'. Find your unmanaged nodes and change that value to 'False'.
-
Case #106599 has been opened. Thanks.

I have found that, no matter how many time SNMP is restarted, the server interfaces and sometimes CPU and memory are no longer reported. Volumes stay, but on some, that is about it.
-
That is the same place mine gets "stuck." No errors are thrown, anymore, since the upgrade to SP3, but it still takes the majority of the time. It hangs on the "Summarizing Detailed..." I tried removing everything from the Wireless_Detail table but that really did not help. For mine, though, weekend runs are usually much…

SP2 did not change anything for me either.
-
...and with a nod of the head, a fffttt turns into tada! :) No, I didn't look any farther than the templates. Thank you.
-
I will have to check with our server guys, but I believe all our servers are still running the SEP agent. Let me know if that works.

I see that this was in the release notes as having been fixed. But it still does not seem to be working properly. The transform I am trying to do is ({pollername}*8)/<pollInterval>. The poller is on the 64-bit ifHCInOctets and on the ifHCOutOctets. This returns a counter value in Bytes. The polling interval is 4 minutes…
-
Thank you.
-
You could set the poll interval to 21600 to poll four times a day and then use the time restrictions in the up/down alert to only fire an alert during certain times of the day.
-
How?
-
You should be able to change the IP address without a problem from the web interface. I have done that a number of times before. If that does not work, though, you should just be able to change the value for that node in the IP_Address column of the dbo.Nodes table.

We are actively building a solution that will roll up data from multiple databases... So support for multiple databases is not there now? Our setup consists of two separate NPM installations, each using their own database. If I implement an HSE will I have to choose which NPM setup the HSE should backup?
-
You pointed me in the right direction, thank you. I went with the portion of the original code that I have included below. This does not provide the menu bar (which appears to have caused the problem), but it does still provide a clickable graph...which will work fine. <a href="thwack.solarwinds.com/.../CustomChart.aspx 24…
-
Yes it does. But, I would like to keep the menu options with all of the charts.

Map conversion is supposed to happen automatically, and in our case it did. The only thing I had to do was readjust the column size on the web views that showed the maps. I had quite a few custom views setup that were mostly unaffected by the upgrade. The only thing that blew up were pages where I had used "ORDER BY" in…
-
klc2009, No, I have not yet found a solution to this. I tried using custom pollers as well, but even with the fix made to transforms so they properly recognize counters, they are still not quite suitable. They still don't figure in the time between polls.

...just wondering if this is being regarded as a feature request or as a problem? Denny, do you want a case opened for the original alerts page issue or were you referring to the Syslog thing that was mentioned? Thanks.
