  • well it shows that the storage is not running on server1 and everything but storage is not running on server2. You did disable WMI correct? If so, it will be much easier if you can open a support ticket and have someone look into the issue with you. We can post the solution(s) here after they've been resolved.
  • I believe the status of that graph should be triggered by unusual changes from the average free memory. So, if the server usually has 1GB of free memory and all the sudden it goes to 2GB of free memory, the status should change. Same if it went from 1GB of free memory to 50MB of free memory. Is that occurring?
  • If this is displaying for VMs that do not have an agent installed on them then that means that the data that we are displaying is coming from the VMware Virtual Center API. So, the only reason for us to display the server as NT instead of 2008 would be because that is what the Virtual Center is telling us it is. You can…
  • Try clicking the wrench icon and setting Disable WMI: to true. After about 15 minutes if it's still not working click the stoplight and click the Rules Module. Copy and paste the last 10-15 lines here for us.

  • What kind of impact are we talking about exactly? The only communication to the SAN is from the SMI-S provider provided by the SAN array manufacturer. So, any impact there would depend on the SMI-S provider software. Impact on the amount of CPU the Profiler Server or Profiler Agent would be using is highly dependent on the…
  • Can you tell me where exactly you're seeing it? Did it spike drastically recently?
  • By comparing the data coming directly from navisphere and the data coming from the SMI-S provider we were able to verify that the data that we are displaying is correct compared to the data from navisphere.
  • Do these servers have an agent installed on them or are you monitoring them through the Virtual Center with Profiler? Where exactly are you seeing it being displayed as Windows NT Server?
  • You can setup BlueArc NAS systems as a generic NAS device to run File Analysis on the shares. See the following 2 blog posts about File Analysis:
  • There were two separate issues in this case: 1) the storage module was hanging due an issue with the HBAAPI.dll. We disabled local storage mapping to resolve the issue. 2) Some of the performance counters that we were requesting were not available
  • there's a few things to check here: Are the server's licensed? This can be verified by checking if the license check box in the edit icon of the server console is checked. Has the server recently collected data? Look on the console for the device and see what the 'Since Last Collect' value is. Are you able to view the…
