I think JeremyMayField has a great idea in a live discussion. While all of the SolarWinds members are fantastic about answering posted questions a live discussion would be even better.

I heard the same thing recently while quoting for a project....

We took what would be the obvious route. Our data center had over 15 physical boxes (on older hardware). Since we were doing an upgrade anyway, I convinced the powers that be to go virtual. I wanted to go cloud, but they wanted none of that. So we went from 15 physical boxes to 2 physical boxes and all virtual servers.…

Meyer837 - That is the same conclusion I came to as well, then after looking at the hint, solidified it for me....then it was wrong, not sure why?

Nigel, I have needed this in the past, but i could never find a way to do it. Maybe someone that has taken a DEEP dive into cisco ios would know how, but as far as I have found, it can't be done.

I found this on another forum site: What rights a user has within our software is determined by what rights they have within the O/S security itself. There is no functionality within our software itself to designate levels of access based upon a list of UserIDs. Also, just because a user has our software installed doesn't…

I agree with Richardf456, DEFINATELY secure the databases and setting groups for permissions is much easier to manage moving forward.

I have a 2016 server in a sandbox environment that I am running it on with no issues.
