The formatting issue is not a bug with Web Help Desk rather changes that M$ made in Exchange 2007 SP3 rollup one (also applies to 2010/2013) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg491244%28v=exchg.80%29.aspx Where the default best body format (default for POP and IMAP) no longer presents the text version of the mail,…

It uses the same connectivity method (EWS) as 2010 / 2013, although one thing to keep an eye out for is the certificate being on the Exchange server, if it is SHA256 signed then WHD will not be able to connect to it no matter what version unless you upgrade the WHD Java to Java 7 or install the release candidate which uses…

Your techs could use the ticket activity widget, that may do what they want
-
Hold shift and right click to override that menu

Many thanks folks, good to hear that creating a connector should be quite simple especially if you do similar things for the Forefront database as the SCCM one will also be MS SQL. I hope to have example data available in the next two weeks and will engage my sales contact when I get it.

ADFS 3.0 does use IIS the same as 2.0 and is needed for SSO with Web Help Desk. The login server should be https://FQDN/adfs/ls and making sure that the SSL certificate used is from an external CA (versign, godaddy etc) and SHA1 signed (also the verification cert too) if on Web Help Desk 12.1.0 of lower.

All that is different is that Dameware v11.1 sets the arguments automatically on installation, but you still need to install customurl. One thing to note as well is the arguments used are slightly different in 11.1 from the previous version and the ones above will not work with 11.1 and greater. I would remove dameware and…

You need to tick the date override checkbox when editing the note and then you can modify the date / time
-
Things like monitors would be manual or flat file entries where you can set the parent.
-
It's just the way Web Help Desk works with locations and companies
-
Multiple sessions are blocked by the app due to the licensing where you should only have one login per tech license.
-
There are variables that can be passed from tech emails in the subject, have a look at the following example; Ticket:22029 Action:TechUpdate Hidden:NO Status:Pending renewal EmailClient:YES Reassign: MinutesWorked:

Also if you have the data already in MySQL, it may be worth doing nearly the same as I mentioned before, but from the current one to a trail "blank" database, but with a data only MySQLdump
-
Use this filter to only bring in active user accounts; (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)( !(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)))
-
Believe me you do have to, you will need to roll back to 10, upgrade to 11, then to 12. The v12 database upgrade scripts are not capable of upgrading from anything lower than version 11
-
You need /ra/saml/metadata.xml on the end of that URL and you have to have switch the auth over the SAML 2.0 inside WHD
-
In that case what you likely have is an orphaned ticket lock, check the JOB_TICKET_ACTIVE_SESSION table and if you see a reference for one of the ticket brought back by the search delete the row (or just cleat the lot)
-
If you have an attribute / security group that only the staff have then you should be able to create a LDAP search filter to only bring in the staff

best is just to use this command from the conf directory to edit in vi sudo vi whd.conf

You can't default to search LDAP, but it sounds like you need to do a bulk sync. Go to your LDAP connection, enable bulk sync, save, go back to the screen listing the connection and click sync now button. Then all your LDAP client will be imported
-
As long as the code is above the </web-app> tag it will work.
-
Have seen IE do this as well, just not usually as often as Chrome
-
You could use action rules to look for the criteria from a custom field and then trigger the appropriate approval process
-
Just click twice on the updated column header and it will sort by that column and show the latest updated tickets at the top
-
If the task has not been shared it will not show up for any other tech / admin, other than the creating tech
-
No worries, good luck as the SCCM database is a bit of snakes nest to say the least
-
You need to have the request type in a tech group otherwise WHD just assigns to the lead tech of the request type
-
Have a look at tasks, pre templated tickets that are linked via a task run. Found in "Setup, tickets, tasks".

My gut says resource issues no the SQL server end
