michal.hrncirik would be the right guy to ask, but from my view this FR is one of many symptoms of a larger challenge: performance at scale. In that context, federation seems like a better solution.
-
Custom node roles and custom icons may not be that difficult to get setup. The missing piece is identification though. I can think of two solutions: * No automatic identification. You would have to manually change nodes to a custom node role. * Require you to input a SysOID as the way to identify a device fitting into a…

Marked as implemented. This was released in NPM 12.4. NPM 12.4 Is Now Generally Available!
-
There has been no change in Nexus support in NPM 11.5.
-
I'm hoping I can share some news in this area in the next day or two. Until then, here's the best I can do: A release that contains bug fixes and support improvements but no features is called a Service Release. SRs get a lot less exposure (email, banners, announcements) than minor and major releases, so it's hard to tell…

We've delivered this feature request in NTM 2.2! Accordingly, I've marked the request as Implemented. See: Network Topology Mapper (NTM) 2.2 Now Available!
-
This is definitely a bug, not a feature request. We're tracking it internally as such since April 23rd: CORE-12604. Looks like there was some miscommunication between our Development and Support groups. I apologize about that.
-
This was delivered in NPM v12. Marking as implemented.

NetPath creates custom TCP packets that mimic application traffic in order to get through firewalls. We can't guarantee it will work every time, but it has worked in the vast majority of cases we've tried, even when traceroute doesn't.
-
We're seeing this rarely and it's been hard to get data for it. Is your device an ASA Service Module? Could we take a look at your system? If so, that would help speed us up. You can open a support ticket and reference having similar problems to 1348125 and CUST-37434, specifically triplicate remote access VPN sessions.

Here you go: NetPath requirements This has scalability guidelines and DB storage estimates. Thanks for all the feedback too!

That item was added to the What We're Working On document on May 24th while this release occurred on May 31st. We haven't completed the syslog trap piece yet, but we are working on it because we know it's very important.
-
How would this feature differ from unmanaging the node?
-
Interface names and link speed are now exported to Visio. Moving forward, we will be putting more effort into ensuring maps exported to Visio look as close as possible to how they look natively in NTM.
-
Fixed! The Online Demo now has all of the new releases so I've added a link to check it out live too: https://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/ui/netman-cisco/apic-members-list?NetObject=N:2579&ViewID=455&opid=Orion.Nodes_2579

The naming of the section "Load Balancers" may have been too aspirational in that we intended to do additional load balancers faster but instead went with firewalls for next Network Insights. Any thoughts on what visibility you need into Citrix Netscalers that is different than Network Insight for F5?

Delivered in NPM 12.2: NPM 12.2 Release Notes - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support. Marking as implemented!

Did you notice Aruba Instant APs are supported in NPM v12 Beta2?: NPM v12 Beta2 Now Available

I'm afraid we're not prepared to announce timing for the Generally Available release, however I think we can help. I'll shoot you a PM.
-
If SSH "just worked" from the COMMAND menu on the netpath inspector panel + from Node Details page, would that cover your need?
-
This is clever. Nice job to tie the systems together.
-
Yes, that's one of the troubleshooting scenarios we're solving for.
-
Totally agree!
-
I owe you folks some news here. This has been our #1 feature request for some time. We've done significant research on this FR including surveys and 1:1 interviews with many of the people who voted for and against it. It turns out that while there are 1400+ votes for this feature, they're votes for several different…

Thanks for reporting this, Edward. We're digging in now!

MacBook was the hardware, but it was Windows 2012 on a Parallels VM.
-
Implemented in NTM v2.1 released 6/11/2014.

Either would work. If it was me I would install fresh: Migrate SolarWinds products to a new server using the same IP and hostname - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
