I checked the settings and it is correctly pulling the interface speed from the device. But currently its not running over the 200MB.
-
Here is another instance of the over 200MB during another time.

Yes I am running APM v2.0. But it's just not the as using the syslog feature. Are there any other tools which will tie into a 2K8 and then let NPM recieve the syslog messages?

2. Why would you want to display a graph which is not correct? It just does not look good. I would classify this as a problem. 3. What I am trying to ask is. I run reports of certain interface daily and sent them out to management. There are many times that these reports represent over 100% utilization on an interface,…

I had the exact same issue. After lowering the time I keep traps then truncated the data then shrunk my data base I gained over 75GB back.

Not sure exactly what you want to call it. How about just like in Outlook when you select High Importance and then when you receive the message it has the red explanation mark. It would be much easier from my Mobile to alert differently on an High Importance message.

Since so many people are seeing interface utilization above 100% there has to be something within Orion. I would first think it’s a device settings about the bandwidth size, but since our MRTG looks to be perfect I would think the problem is only with Solar. I have looked at the details of the interface and it sees it as…

Any news on acknowledging from an email.

Ok I am running V9.1 and I still dont see any solution.
-
1. Is the average calculated using all data or with the top 5% thrown out? 2. Why can’t the graph display the information accurately since it looks at the database? 3. On a daily report using 'report writer' does it represent data equal to the graph of to the raw data?
-
More just why do we need it. Is there a way to remove it?
-
Are there any other solution for this? What about other solutions outside of Orion? Server 2008 has been out for just about 10 months now and you still dont have a solution for this issue. Come on.

Yes I do have alerts which trigger when the down device return to the up status. But the email I receive states that the device is unmanaged nothing about being up. If this is the case what causes the email, and what is the time interval?

You will need to edit the Node Details view and add the 'User Defined Properties for a Node'. Then view the newly edited page then click on the Edit Resource button, which will then take you into all custom fields where you can select and deselect any you would like to view.
-
A very board question but: I would add as many devices as you can and check every resource as possible within each node. Then visit the default top 10 page. For starters

This is what I know about 64-bit counters. We had this issue and changed the settings, but it did not appear it fixed it 100% either. Straight from Orion's administrators guide. If you have high-speed interfaces and you are experiencing frequent counter rollovers, you may wish to enable 64-bit counters. Confirm that the…

You can see our MRTG screen shot below and you don't see it going over 200MB during the exact same time frame.

The wild card is your friend (*). I copy the message straight from the syslog web viewer then paste straight into syslog alerts / filters. Then I delete out the front and back stuff and just leave the meat of the syslog message. Then (*) on the front and the back.

Somebody must also want to do this, any help would be very greatfulll.
-
I would also like to see a solution for this. Gene and I can’t be the only people interested in this.
-
I am also looking for the same solution.
