I remember asking this many years ago, IIRC when WHD was still Unipress. Now revisiting WHD I'm amazed to see that you still can't validate data input and we all know that if you can't validate it your users will put rubbish data in so you'll only get rubbish data out!

can you put a "start date" in as a custom field (or a "don't action before" date) and then use this in any SLA calculation?

beware if you wipe and then resync your new IDs may no longer match your existing ones so calls may end up against the wrong client / tech etc.
