Yes, good call... it definitely makes sense for it to be a per technician setting. I'm thinking just whichever 'Sort by' you choose from the dropdown, should be saved as your 'default' until you change it. Either that, or an option under My Account > Settings. Whichever's easiest for the devs I guess?

The more attention I pay to this, the more baffled I am by the 'Best Match' results! More often than not, the results are wildly not the Best Match, and just being able to sort and easily see the last few tickets logged containing my search term at the top of list is always better.

Actually if anyone in the know is reading this, can they please explain how Best Match is actually determined?
-
I now note it is only fixed in the Portal view, which being customer facing, is the most important. But for consistency's sake, can we have it fixed in the Platform view as well please?
-
I see it's changed back now, much better, thanks :)

Good call @lholtorf. Have done so now, see: Change default 'Sort by' from 'Best Match' to 'Date Descending' for Searches - Feature Requests - SolarWinds Service Desk (SWSD) - THWACK Please vote +1 when you get a moment

Thanks again. Sounds like the auto-update of infra libraries would indeed be beneficial then. So until the client gets this ability itself, are we ok to just install the latest (v2.0.13) client over existing (v2.0.7) ones (via --mode unattended) without expecting any downside/issues?

That's ok, thanks for the info. So just to clarify, is there any advantage to the upgraded 'infrastructure libraries' for my clients? If so, at the every least I might update the installer I deploy to new clients initially via Group Policy.
