My all time favorites are both from when I was in the military. The first was a USB thumb drive that would not connect to the computer, it had been forced into the Ethernet port. The second was the officer in charge of IT stating that his computer had failed, it wasn't plugged in to power and the battery ran out.

You could also expand this to simply allow for layers to be added and removed from the world map resource. This would allow for weather, as well as other resources as needed to meet business needs.

Just tested this successfully using the Custom HTML. <iframe src="http://${IP_Address}" width=800 height=500 frameborder=0></iframe> IP_Address is the polling IP of the node though, so I'm not sure if that would work. in the context you want.

I think the drive by Cisco, not sure about other vendors, is to continue developing their product line. This currently comes in the form of new command structures, primarily in their newer devices and occasionally in older devices that are still supported. One shift they have made recently is to implement a licenses…

I agree, that would be a very nice addition. Even making it similar to how the edit option for other resource would be nice, or allowing you to choose the tables that are relevant. Many times, I find it confusing as the type of view you are in (summary, node details, application details) will impact how you reference the…

I agree that it will always be a battle, both from purposeful and "accidental" attacks from unwary users. The problem becomes, in many instances, that most companies see IT as a business cost and not an asset. This results in IT having to do more with less, and ultimately can end up with some things being overlooked.

This was very helpful, thank you.

I currently have ticket # 840415 opened trying to resolve this issue. So far, it seems like the page /Orion/Admin/Accounts/Add/WindowsAccount.aspx does not receive, or isn't able to use the SSO credentials provided by the browser.
-
Having the same issue, SSO works to log in, but not when trying to add new AD users. It is as if the page or script that authenticates to AD does not allow for the credentials to pass through from the browser in the same way that user login does.
-
Worked for me, thanks.

I converted this to a Web-based report and uploaded it here. Thanks for this report, it helped out quite a bit in our environment.

Thanks for the resource.

Same issue here, but not until I try to zoom in or out.

support case opened here as well.

Just had to restart SWIS v3 myself. Took about 5 minutes to stop. Luckily, nothing more severe this time.

On digging in another layer, I found that all the tables seem to be named with the following date as shown below. 20160301 shows polling data from 29 Feb. 20160229 shows polling data from 28 Feb.

using DNS, to verify try running NSLookup <IP Address> from your computer or from the SolarWinds server.

Agreed. Likewise, when managing a node, there should be an easy way to cascade custom property choices.
