Hi Willem: This may be because you are deleting so many files at one time. Could you try to lower the number and see if it does not lock up? I know we just tested about 3000 files and it was taking a while, so this might be the cause. --Christine

Hi Brent - could you open a support case on this one? --Christine
-
Hi Saad - I think you have the same issue as this gentleman - and you'll want to open a support ticket. --Christine
-
Hi Erik - we don't have any plans to enhance it on the current road map (and as you point out we haven't enhanced it in a while), however, if enough customers showed interest it's definitely something we'd consider. --C

Jerumball - I assume you got this sorted out, but if you didn't - please open a support case so they can help you. --Christine

Hi Z - our lead dev on CatTools just sent me a workaround in case you do want to save every day's config. There's a bit of a trade off though. He said.... It is possible to 'fudge' saving a new file every day with a unique time stamp, by setting the 'Current config' filename to include the %DateISO% filename variable;…

Hi Z - CatTools will datestamp and move the currently saved config on disk into the Dated configs folder; but only if there is a change detected. If there's no change, the old one isn't moved. --Christine

I have a Checkpoint Firewall template that we need a customer(s) to test. Is there anyone out there interested in taking it for a spin? Let me know and we'll get you set up. Thanks in advance. Christine
-
Hi Aarón: I checked with our dev team and they said, unfortunately, no there isn't a way to do this. They tried a couple of workarounds, but it's still creating both files. Sorry we couldn't help! --Christine

Hi Adrian - thank you for the feedback! We hear you and we're tracking this one for a future release. For internal users it's TT#65. --Christine
-
Hi - I got your request and put it into our feature request tracking system. Thanks! --Christine
-
Hi Ronald - this isn't a feature that we have today, but I'll add it as a request. Internal users, this is being tracked as TT#5105.

Would the "file watching" monitor work for you? See the admin guide - http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ipMonitor/docs/ipMonitorAdministratorGuide.pdf p age 109. --Christine
-
Hi SolarKap - could you open a support ticket? They will be able to help you. --Christine

Hi Darkshooter: The only SNMP reporting activity supported by CatTools is the Report.SNMP.System summary activity: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/help/cattools/act_repsnmpsyssumry.htmAll the other reporting activities (including the Report.Version table) require login to the device over Telnet or SSH.The Report.SNMP.System…

Hi G-Mixdorf - that option is only available in the paid version. You can see the line up of differences here. http://www.kiwisyslog.com/kiwi-syslog-server-compare-versions/ --Christine
-
Hi Roselyn - this is not a problem I have heard of before. Could you please open a support ticket? --Christine
-
Hi Whitejcdc - can you help me with request #1? That option is listed by default when you add a node - what did you have in mind for it? I got the other one captured as a feature request. --Christine
-
Andressk - I will contact you offline about this. This is something we are definitely thinking about. --Christine
-
Hi StarB - did you check out this thwack post to see if it could help?
-
Hi KittCarson - this isn't possible with NCM. I can enter it as a feature request. Could you give me a little more information about the use case? In what sorts of situations would you want to do this? --Christine
-
Hey Cmiller - If you could open a support ticket on this we can look into it a bit more. --Christine
-
Hi all - could you send me a message with your diagnostics? I'll open a support issue for you both and make sure someone takes a look at it right away. Thanks, Christine
-
Hi Walter - if this is happening in a regular basis I would suggest opening a support ticket so we can look into this further. --Christine
-
Hi Visualxl - CatTools does not support SQL. If you need that, I would highly suggest checking out our NCM product. --Christine
-
This might be possible via the CatTools API: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/help/cattools/api.htm You'd need to basically create a loop to loop through each device stored in the Cattools DB and extract the properties you want. If you try it, please let us know how it works out! --Christine
-
Hi David - we're tracking this as a feature request. Thank you for the input. --Christine
-
Hi Neilgbrookins - I've captured this as a feature request. --Christine
-
Hi BenB - thanks so much for your input. We will add this to our feature requests. For internal folks - this is being tracked at TT #4910. Thanks, Christine
-
Hi Florrieford - this isn't something we have on the roadmap currently. --Christine
