Bill, It won't cause an issue if it fails. The upgrade does a check to make sure the environment is valid for the upgrade. If it is not, it reverts back to the previous version. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks, Chris

Did you try the full 2020.2.1 offline installer? The latest one contains hot fix 2. Also, make sure that you aren't seeing your anti-virus flagging any of the files. We have been seeing false positives when the anti virus definitions haven't been updated.

Have you put in a support ticket? One thing we have seen cause this issue is port exhaustion. You have more devices being monitored than a single poller can support

If you open the SCP /SFTP server, you set the account there(See below) . You can also test the connection using WinSCP

This is definitely 100% in the browser every time I have seen this error. We usually see this in Internet Explorer and a clearing of the cache resolves it. Have you tried another browser on this machine?
