I have not. I was operating under the assumption the, "Surely, someone has run into this before...by now...", theory.

On the slow-loading issue, we are aware that some large environments are having slowness with the All Nodes resource, and we are actively working on a fix. I'd say you have more performance issues with other resources, outside of the All Nodes resource. I modified my Network Status view and removed all "All Nodes"…

I will be opening up tickets for each issue, but I couldn't get a human being to answer the phone around 7pm Central to document these at the time. So, I proceed to work for the next 7 hours and identify other problems. If you know of an issue with the All Nodes resource, then I'm really in trouble because my Network…

See attached screenshot. The "Recent Device Reboots" is a resource pulling in a Custom Report, as is the "Site-to-Site VPN Tunnels" resource. In both of these (all resources, these are just the visual examples), the image in the left column is no longer valigned properly with the text. Both the reboot icon and the green/up…

Couple of reasons... Many moons ago, in a version far, far away, there was an issue with the ${DateTime} and I went to using the individual variables. Just never switched back. I also wanted to use 24 hour time and this was an attempt to do that, also a long time ago.

Just noticed that... When your "Property to Monitor" is NODE - you have NODE and INTERFACE options until you actually add a Node-level condition. After that, the Interface options vanish. However, when your property to monitor is INTERFACE, both NODE and INTERFACE menu items remain accessible. I'll have to do some…

Looks like Destiny Martin manually generated me a response so I could reply...

We ICMP poll every 60 seconds, by default. A few items we may be experiencing issues with we turn down to 10 second ICMP polls. SNMP statistics is configured for 5 minutes. That a bad idea?

It's there. I can see it. Perhaps, client-side issue or forum account preference?

I'm sure. With the alert configured as-is, when I shut down a switch port...I get an email. I haven't tried contains/starts with, but will. Once I shut down an interface, it is displayed in Orion as "Shutdown", as expected. Thanks for the response.

FYI - within the Event Viewer if you select "All Events" and choose, "Show cleared events", that is a bit confusing. The result is that cleared AND not cleared events are displayed. I would have expected ONLY cleared events would be shown, since I elected to "Show cleared events". Had that said, "Include cleared events" -…

Thanks. However, that still doesn't address the absence of abuse, hostmaster, postmaster, or other RFC-standards based mailboxes that are expected to exist for the communication and addressing of issues, such as this. The only functional email account I have been able to confirm is "sales@solarwinds.net". In my opinion,…

How about the IPS modules as part of the Cisco ASA? I added one of our IPS modules and specified the "Cisco Pix Firewall" template, even tried the "Cisco IOS" template and Cirrus reports the following each time: "Connectivity issues discarding the config file" --- ERROR DETAILS --- " ^ % Invalid input detected at '^'…

(I haven't read all replies to this thread, FYI) This is probably a matter of the VLAN configuration being contained in the legacy "vlan database" configuration mode, versus the IOS configuration.

Thanks for that heads-up. I'll have to check out the availability to modify this in Cisco IPS sensors and Network General InfiniStream servers. As both of these are appliance-based solutions, I'm fearful that my tweaking availability might be limited. Thanks.

It's not in the /Orion/Admin folder, already checked there. I've customized most of my .asp files for HTML and CSS formatting that I desire, so I fully expect I have overwritten the default 8.5.1 files in /NetPerfMon/Admin since the initial install. I've likely placed an "selectmenubars.asp" file from a previous version of…

Yes, where is the UnDP file for import?

I submit you may want to add the following to your AAA commands: "aaa authentication enable default group tacacs+ enable" (and) "if-authenticated" to the end of your "authorization exec" line.

Amusingly enough, if I edit the resource and replace the (double right) character that I cut-n-pasted out of Charmap with "& raquo;", which is the actual HTML for that character - when I save the resource what is displayed on the front end is the literal text of "& RAQUO;. When I edit the resource again, it replaces the…

Something I JUST discovered... Any place in custom HTML where I have " & nbsp; " it replaces it with the "Funky A". (I purposely put a space between "&" and "nbsp". The forum wouldn't let me submit it as text, otherwise.) FYI
-
IF I edit that resource, it will take the (double less than) character and prepend a "funky A" to it. See this message's screenshot.

Guess I should have just tried ${NextRediscovery) first...that happens to be the variable! :)
-
...I'll open a support ticket.

I just noticed something... My account accounts (for passthrough) are created in the following manner: "RTMS\(username)". If I log into Orion using JUST (username), as I have always done, I have the Last Login = Never and the Default view issues. If I use the FULL name "RTMS\testaccount", etc - the default view issue is…

This is what I've been doing with my ASA VPN tunnels... For each tunnel I setup, I determine an IP address on the remote side that the IT staff will allow me to ICMP poll, at a minimum. Ideally, I get them to allow me public/RO access to some key resource on their end that should "always be up". I then monitor that IP…

I customize the icons of the Events. I don't like the 16-bit color versions included with the product. I had previous changed the background colors of the event sets, but as this is overwritten with each upgrade, re-hacking that back in became a pain. It's really easy to copy/paste images into a directory to repair from…

I've had this as a feature request (optional setting) for quite some time. We ultimately deployed Advanced Alerts with an action of logging to the Event Log in the format we wanted. The actual date/time stamp on the event still doesn't include the seconds, we just inserted that information into the message of the vent. We…

Incidentally, if I edit my test report and check/uncheck the "Show detailed changes" in the Advanced Options, there is NO change in the emailed config change report. Useless checkbox?
