We aren't running 9.5, we're running 9.1 SP5, but we have to go to the Orion Service Manager and Unload COM+ Application every morning. On some days, we have to do it multiple times during the day, as well.

SamuelB, Thanks...

I haven't had the time to dig through the database and see if the last logged in information is there. However, when I disable the "dgreen" account it denies him access to the GUI. I have an account "<domain>\Everyone" that displays a custom view, stating "access is restricted" with custom HTML, etc. DGREEN sees that page…

While I am concerned about the advanced alerting engine and custom mibpolling, the biggest thing that bothers me is the lack of confidence inthe stability of the 8.x product in general. That sums up my thoughts, as well. I have absolutely no confidence in the advanced alerting engine. It fails to send some triggers, fails…

This "funky A" is also added BEFORE and AFTER any custom HTML. Look to the left of "Next Rediscovery" and to the right of the "PM". If I (re) Edit the resource and remove this character, it is placed back in with each save.

I utilize this combination of resources on my network summary page. I break out my down SITES, from INFRASTRUCTURE, and list UNMANAGED devices separately. I utilize the unmanaged status as a "staging" or "pending" status. Things I preparing to turn up so I've preconfigured Orion to monitor, etc. I also use this status for…

I'll give that a shot...

When Solarwinds actually removes items/features that existed in previous releases, fails to include them in updates/new releases, and states they have them earmarked for addition in subsequent, new releases...I find that practice not only unacceptable, but annoying. Superior versions of a product should not lack basic…

I would like to have the ability to customize views based on the web server being used. I have a similar but different need. I would like to be able to customize which views are used for a node that somehow ties into the user settings. I have my node details view set to "by device type", but I would like to somehow…

Excellent. Thank you.

Screenshot attached... Areas of relevance NOT subdued...

Sounds like a feature request to me, then. In my opinion, it makes sense to make statistics polling and custom MIB polling have separately configured options.
-
No change. And, I would mention the filter examples are: -------------------------------------------- Filters can be complex SQL statements (Vendor Like 'Cisco') AND ( (MessageType Like 'PIX*') OR (MessageType Like 'SYS*') ) (Nodes.DNS Like '*.SolarWinds.Net') OR (SysLog.IPAddress Like '10.1.*') (Message NOT Like…

I've never used it. Don't have any intent to.

Using the Custom MIB Poller search I was able to find the OID(s) that report what channel a radio interface is on. I have a bit of a challenge as my Cisco 1130AG access points are dual-radio with 802.11b/g and 802.11a. Also, since I'm adding each of these wireless AP pollers to all access points, and not all my APs are the…

I am also interested.

If the box is checked, it's probably because someone at Solarwinds advised us to set it up that way, or the original 7.x NPM and instructions how to integrate called for it. I can't really say why it's needed.

All of our accounts are created in Orion as DOMAIN\username, and we DO have an "Everyone", but that doesn't appear to be the issue. The correct logged in user is displayed in the upper right as it should, we just lack EDIT buttons. The Admin functions still work. We can perform any administrative option we want (assuming,…

Sorry. Yes, correct. The cooked variables haven't function since their promotion from Basic Alerts.

This resource is added to our Network Status (summary) page. The exact resource in question is: Summary Reports - Various Reports Showing Problem Areas - Interfaces with High Percent Utilization We have modified this resource and replaced "35" with "40", which IS sufficient for 3-digit percentages. A screenshot showing the…

Yes. My Orion points to a separate SQL server. I assume ordering the tables would result in the columns following suit? I don't manage the SQL server, so I'd have to request that activity of our database folks.

Then, quite frankly the question remains, who do I have to (insert your favorite expletive here) to get this feature into a release? I've contacted support in the past, who said to post it on the message boards, which I've done multiple times. Damned if I can find any of those posts now, however. It might have been…

Jon, Excellent! Is it uploaded to the Content Sharing Zone? If not, attach to this thread?

I imagine customers everywhere will be complaining about v9. I'm perfectly willing to contend I'm a very vocal, if not the most vocal (read; critical) about NPM changes in HTML/coding cosmetics over the years, and I can say in v9 I'm still not all that impressed. The Blue/Green combinations on charts don't even make good…

I see the Y-Axis on the "packet loss" isn't the same on each version's graph, hence the difference in the output of the report... Still ugly, though.

My Resource with a filter of Caption Like '${Site_ID}*' AND '${Site_ID}' <>'' seems to be working well enough, but I'd rather not have to 'remember' to enter Custom Properties to get this to work, allowing for administrator error in that the Site_ID is not entered correctly on the back end. Is there any such "Left 'x'…
-
And, I should mention, I can't figure out why these nodes WITH Site_IDs would be displayed, anyway. When using either a Report Filter or a Resource Filter, in no case does "Caption Like '${Site_ID}*'" (resource filter) or "Node Name starts with ${Site_ID}" apply.
-
I think so...let me give CustomProperties a whirl. I can't control the "location" field in all cases, but it wouldn't be a big deal for me to define a "Site ID" property.

"Normal" and "Failed over" MIB OID values attached.
