The "HeaderBar" in the WebEngine/Resources, color-specific CSS files is only being applied to the SubHeader. <tr class="HeaderBar"> <td height="35" align="left" nowrap> <B><a href="/NetPerfMon/DetachResource.asp?ResourceID=2036&NetObject=N:745&Width=600">Interface Traffic</a></b> <br><font size="1">All Interfaces for…

danrog brings up a great point. In addition to Blackberry/Mobile device accessible views, Orion could benefit from having a set of built-in RSS feeds that could be referenced in readers of choice. I'll put my hat into the ring to request RSS as a feature request.

I have a Blackberry Bold and have no problems accessing Orion NPM from it.

Creating an INTERFACE alert and including both NODE parameters AND INTERFACE parameters is working well for me. I have successfully created an alert that fires when the NODE is UP, but the INTERFACE is 'not up'. (down, shutdown, warning, testing, etc.)

We added several 95th percentile reports to 8.5. Just noticed that's a raw SQL-generated report. I want to create a filter on this report to only include one device, filtering by name is fine. Name is "MISRUA01". What do I need to add to these SQL statements to make that happen?

vhcato, Thanks for the response, but that seems way too involved. I'd much rather see Solarwinds development address this through a software change and actually including an "anytime a value changes". I used this type of Basic rule for IOS version changes, Last Boot, etc. I don't want to keep these as basic alerts because…

Yeah, I've had no luck changing the System OID for our Barracuda spam firewalls, Cisco intrusion prevention sensors, or Network General sniffer appliance. We also have a couple hundred Secure Computing SG8100 VPN appliances for SOHO sites, which also report as only "net-snmp", that I also can't change. Thanks for the…

Additionally...any other custom pollers you're aware of on the Barracuda platforms? I'd love to be able to poll the following: * Average Latency: * Last Message: * Unique Recipients: * System Load: * CPU 1 Fan Speed: * CPU 2 Fan Speed: * CPU 1 Temperature: * CPU 2 Temperature: * Firmware Storage: * Mail/Log Storage: *…

Revising an old topic... Cirrus 4.0 - December 2007 still cannot properly download configuration files from Cisco ASA-SSM-10 IPS modules. Attempts to do so results in an error that states, "Connectivity issues discarding config file." Error details state: ------------- ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker -------------…

Forgot... Anyone successful in getting SNMP v3 to work with the WLC/Cirrus? I've added it successfully to Orion, but Cirrus SNMP validation is failing.

Yes. This is what I have done... I created a custom schedule/job for connecting to our CME and manudally scripting a TFTP of the AIM-CUE config. My script is below: --- ser ser 0/0 ses (username) (password) en offline y backup category all continue --- If your AIM module isn't installed on 0/0, that might be different for…

No, but I'm staging another 9.0 pilot in the near future (this week).

Support has stated... Update for Case #26951 - "Can't login with local accounts" Chris, Thank you for contacting SolarWinds. There is not going to be a way to choose between Windows Authentication or regular access, which is basically what you are wanting. It has to be one or the other. If this customer needs to have…

Thoughts on structure... By Device Type for UserGroup ------------------------------------------- USER GROUPS - Network Group - General IT Group - User Group When creating/editing a view under "Manage Views", have a RADIOBOX (multiple selections would create issues) which let the administrator(s) say which user group this…

Haven't. I assumed my text enumeration would trump actual "values". I'll try the raw 9/10 and report back...

Nope. No change. No alert when the custom MIB updates. Must be something else.

I'm pretty sure I did...but what the hell, it takes all but 60 seconds to download and do it again. I'll let you know the outcome.

It has a uniqueness and flexibility to it that is different from the other resources and views available with Orion. I'm a bit at odds with this comment. The view has a resource with no flexibility, no edit or customization options. The information that is presented in a mouse over is useless if you have to scroll down a…

I'm also using Auto Determine, but I cannot download configs. Correction... 40 is sufficient for Firefox, but IE still wraps. "45" is needed in order for IE to not wrap a 3-digit percentage.

After much troubleshooting, trial and error, for whatever the root cause, we have found that bad cookies are the culprit. Across multiple machines, if we clear cookies and access the front-end, the issue(s) are resolved. Solarwinds believes at some point, possibly, the NPM application threw out a corrupt cookie and it…

This is what is further puzzling. I have my IIS Directory Security now set (experimenting) as follows: ------------ - Integrated Windows Authentication - Digest authentication for Windows domain servers Realm: corp.ruan.com ------------ Essentially, I removed basic authentication and enabled Digest, so I could specify the…

Do all the possible variables work, as ${nodename}, including CustomProperties? I've wanted to add a resource to my Node Details, that has a link to a "Network Diagram" for that particular node, but didn't realize we could use variables in the URLs. I assume if you can use ${nodename}, there would be nothing precluding me…

How do you keep the devices relevant? I'm thinking a "contains" (like) is going to be what I need. For example, the Node Name I'm going to be viewing may be "T550 - Brooklyn Park, MN". I'm going to create a SiteID of "T550" for each node that is at that location. When I'm view the T550 - Brooklyn Park, MN node I only want…

The value of "..1.3.6" returns a 9 (if active) and a 10 (if standby). However, when I added "...1.3.6" (GET, not GET NEXT), both devices report "10"...even though when I manually walk them they report either 9 or 10. Additionally, I added this custom MIB as a Type=Enumeration. I was thinking I could define 9=Active and…

When I apply this UDPoller to my ASA 8.0(4)28 appliances it doubles the actual counts. If I have 2 SSL VPN users logged in, the UDPoller reports 4. This is also true of the crasNumSessions UDPoller that is intended to report remote access VPN sessions. For each one, the value stated is double.

I just noticed in the "Advanced Node Status", which I assume was the previous "Node Details" resource, you removed the blue circle icons with the "arrow" and "T" for web browsing/telnet links, and the Remote Desktop icon/link and replaced with text that reads: Telnet telnet://10.20.0.1 Web Browse http://10.20.0.1…

Network_Guru, Long story short...all customizations gone, again (as I expected) - and Solarwinds moved around files, directories, HTML, added more embedded front-end that can't be stripped out of the binaries, and CSS that has been further split up amongst more directories - making it further difficult to (re)customize.…

That would be a curious pointer as to what the issue is :) I might set the clock on the server ahead a month and see what happens.

Thanks for the Cuda pollers. How did you come across them? I've been searching through the Custom Poller utility for "Spam", "Barracuda" and have never found anything.
