I'm checking with dev on this one. If others have ideas on workarounds, please chime in.

What is the date/time stamp on the trap messages you're seeing in the database? Since rules aren't retroactive, could those be from previous messages received before you setup the rule? One way to test this is to setup a temporary action on that rule to log a message to a file each time a trap is discarded.

Can you please open a support ticket on this? It may be that the 4500 uses a different MIB for storing blade/card info.
-
Our application monitoring leverages the standard Host-Resources-MIB, which may not be provided by AIX natively. To add this MIB support for your Unix/Linux machines, our customers have typically have leveraged the free Net-SNMP agent (http://sourceforge.net/projects/net-snmp). HTH,

What happens if you restart the Cirrus console? Also, you might check under Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks to see if there really are duplicate jobs.
-
As you noted, it looks like it's an SSH handshake issue. Have you got request configs and transfer configs on device details set to use SSH Auto?

See: https://support.ipmonitor.com/devdocs/ed8a241d1a1444feb767d4608d72c836.aspx The legacy SOAP methods are compatible with ipMonitor v9. To add a Monitor to a Device, specify the Device's ID as the ParentID for the Monitor when it is being added.

Yes, Kiwi Syslog Server has the ability to forward a SNMP trap. See documentation for more details: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/help/syslog/action_sendsnmptrap.htm

Were these the default reports or were these custom reports you created?
-
Can you post a session trace?

Can anyone from SW tell me if there are plans to include a mechanism natively within Cirrus to detect config changes? Syslog and SNMP Trap server is expected to make it into v5. This is an older post so I'm sure you've already seen this in the v5 BETA3 build.

Please try the Physicial Entity Report and let us know if that gets you what you're looking for...

I've added this to our FR tracking system.

First... this email gives me absolutely no indication as to when that release might be or what my original problem was to begin with. How do I know that this new release will fix my problem? It appears this web error was caused by a blank report (report with no fields defined). Can you examine your reports through the…

Try using ${IPAddress} instead of ${Node.IP_Address}

Thanks for pointing that out. We've fixed this. ipMonitor now is the fully adopted son or daughter of SolarWinds that we never had ;-) With v9, I can't really seem to do this, as there is no option to "Remove" from a group, but rather just "Move" from one group to another. There is an option to remove from a group,…

I would download the example D-Link template from the content exchange Then you can edit it and add the following line to specify your custom enable command: <Command Name="EnableCommand" Value="en admin"> This is also documented in the Admin Guide in "Modifying Device Templates". HTH,

Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to evaluate ipMonitor. Monitoring these performance counters directly isn't available today. We plan to add the ability to report on the counters collected by the monitors in the next release. In the interim, you can leverage our External Process Monitor to monitor performance…

Please see this article in our knowledge base for moving monitors from one device to another: http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=787

Thanks Jon for the post. This is a very common request for ipMonitor's Exchange Monitor, but is currently not supported. We're evaluating this for a future release of ipMontor. If you're also looking at Orion APM, I expect this should be possible in the next release (v2).
-
I hope you are not speaking from experience ;-) We can definitely look at this. Where would you expect this checkbox to live?
-
Hi Fauzan, After the acquisition, we did adjust ipMonitor list prices for a moderate price increase so you may see a moderate increase in your maintenance renewal. I saw your note to customer support and they should be able to take care of your request. Let me know if you have any issues getting this processed. Thanks,

eskador, this is really cool! Thanks for sharing!

On the Execute Script dialog, there are Advanced Options that show up if you expand the area below the script input area. Make sure "show commands in output" box is checked.

Do you have a case # for this? 9.0 + SP1 (9.0.1) was released on 3/18:

Can you verify that the Orion NCM Polling Service is running? Also, your might try removing the vendor icon from the node list view to see if that fixes your issue.
-
Good idea. For internal folks, I've captured this as #3821

Does your configuration end with an "end" statement?
-
Can you post your session trace? Also, I'm not sure if there are differences between the 5508 and the 4400 CLI, but there is a 4400 WLC command template posted here:

This didn't make 5.0, but we'll look at this again for 5.1
