Ok, sorry for preaching to the choir. I've heard the requirement to match Cisco LMS User Tracking several times (to completely replace it with Cirrus) and I think I've got a really good understanding now of what you need. v5 is pretty heavy already so this will have to be in a subsequent release, but I'll definitely get…

Unfortunately, I don't see anything that immediately stands out in the session trace that would cause the config to be discarded. I think your best bet is to open a ticket with Support so they can setup a gotomeeting and walk through this with you. Here are some important details to include with your ticket to help…

Is there a fix? We are having the same problem NCM 5.5 it is killing our disk space within one day. Our directory is getting fill with over 58 Gig of data per day until NCM stops working. We didn't have this problem until the 5.5 upgrade. When you say NCM 5.5 is killing your disk space, can you please help us understand…

jswan, great feedback. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #3375

Thanks for the feedback. Please keep it coming. Again, if you're interested in a gotomeeting to run through this, please let me know in your post and I'll reach out to you individually. Cheers,

Ok, you should be able to download 9.1 Eval now. For more details on what was included in this version, see the following announcement: Please let me know if this fixes your issue. Thanks,

Can you try this template instead? Notice I'm overriding the enable command to get around the issue mentioned where the prompt changes unexpectedly and Cirrus' state machine continues to wait for the old prompt. When Cirrus sends the enable command, it always watches for a change to the previous prompt (called mprompt in…

As noted in my earlier post above: Just to clarify, in Config Comparison Criteria, multi-line regular expressions are not currently possible. However, single line ignores should work just fine. The every-changing certificate self-signed line in your Cisco configs is something we're working on explicitly addressing as part…

nProbe is ~$100 and provides both collector (using raw packet flow) and proxy forwarding (receive flow data and forward) capabilities. I'd recommend reviewing this solution to see if it would meet your needs. See Proxy option in Using nProbe diagram: http://www.ntop.org/nProbe.html

We're investigating if there are any "cheap" ways to address this in 5.1, but no guarantees. Our drivers for 5.1 are adding upload, download, and execute script through the website so I'm sure you'll understand ;-)

outsidesys, I'm actually working on defining the requirements for enhancing Syslog and SNMP traps for the next major release of Orion. If you're amenable, I'd like to have a quick call to run through this scenario in more detail. I'll reach out to you offline via email. All, If we were able to deliver what outsidesys…

It appears based on the session trace that it's logging into the device and then it gets prompted for the username again. Is that correct? The other issue is that the device prompt is using a # sign. We may have to override this in the device template. Try creating a copy of the device template (<install…

What version are you running?

Ok, so to be clear, I have to buy the software for each module application that I wish to run from an additional poller, right? And these additional modules are NOT the same part number as the version that is installed on the primary polling server? Let me clarify. You need to purchase/own Orion NPM additional pollers.…

For all those experiencing this issue, please open a support ticket and we'll get this fixed. Also, to ensure we can include your use-cases in our enhancement planning, please list out your most common search use-cases in response to the post below:

Fixed my original link. Sorry about that guys.

We've done some internal investigation and found that NTA doesn’t care about amount of IP addresses assigned to the host, it listens on all of them. This hasn't been fully verified though so we'd recommend to use additional NTA receiver or test a host with multiple IP addresses in a non-production Orion environment to…

No, let's let dev work this one. I checked and it has been escalated.

Chandru, please open a support ticket and someone will get back with you. Thanks,

Seem that NTA can't read CBQoS in sub-interface. Most of my interface is sub-interface frame-relay point to point with service-policy in the map-class. Anyone having the same issue? Please open a ticket with support and include a reference to this thread. We've got a revised query that allows for CBQoS from subinterfaces.…

Sorry for the confusion. During the NCM install, it actually asks if you want to import nodes from your NPM database. This is not the same as installing the NCM integration module. In your NCM download package, you'll notice there are actually two executables. You've run the NCM server installer. You'll still need to run…

Service Pack 1 for Engineer's Toolset 9.2 now available. We believe this service pack resolves many of the switch port mapper issues described in this thread. See announcements area for more details:

Hmmm...I've verified we made two code changes in 5.1 to automatically ignore the crypto self-signed cert lines in the config. Did 5.1 fix this issue for anyone on this thread? In any case, we're very committed to getting this resolved. If you're still seeing this issue and are runninng 5.1 or later, please open a support…

Once the database has been successfully migrated from 2000 to 2005, it should just be a matter of rerunning the database wizard. I'd recommend checking the appropriate MSFT docs on how to move databases from one version to another.

Thanks Donald for the heads-up. We're in the process of upgrading our lab as I write this ;-)

Thanks Donald. What if we changed the text to say "IPAM evaluation has 25 days left"?

Please open a support ticket and reference this post. We'll want to look into this because we specifically tested for interoperability between EE and NCM TFTP servers.

For folks experiencing similar issues, please open support cases. We're looking at fixing this 10.1, but we need your diagnostics to ensure that we're resolving the same issue your seeing. Also, this will help us track, verify, and resolve if/when we have a fix.

Based on your explanation, I think I'm most interested in upgrade_export and backup. Is there a way to show the upgrade_export and backup files on the command line? This would allow us to do a line by line transfer. Otherwise, we'll need a way to transfer the upgrade_export and backup files (e.g. TFTP or SCP).
