I have the same issue as rcahill. On our 4402's it appears there is a prompt to "Press Enter to continue Or <Ctl Z> to abort" before it pages through the config. If I add any additional character in the sh run-config line like this: "sh run-config x" it will get me past the first enter prompt, but it wont input anything on…

I think that's the right approach at this point. It doesn't make sense that you can't login to the desktop application using AD users you just added.

Let's move this discussion to the NTA forum thread on reporting: View this post at

Great feedback. We should be able to provide the previous 4 and following 4 lines. Would you want the number of lines before and after the change to be configurable or is setting at 4 a good rule of thumb.

You'd need Toolset on your Cirrus server for the Toolset buttons to be active in the Cirrus console.

The reason is that you have a non-standard enable prompt on the device. We expect to see a number sign (#) in the prompt to indicate enable mode. To fix this, add the following line to the template: <Command Name="EnableIdentifier" Value=">"/> Let me know if this works for you.

Chandru, I checked and this has been resolved in the build we're currently working on. I'll let you know as soon as it is available for beta testing. Thanks, -Chris

Ok, thanks for the clarification. What version are you upgrading from? Did you upgrade to that version from a previous version (e.g. from 3.5 -> 4.0 -> 5.0). We've seen some upgrade issues with a handful of customers, but it's unclear if your particular issue is related. Can you try rerunning the NCM Config Wizard on your…

Sure. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #2864.

One more quick question - how large is too large for a DB? I just noticed that my db is just around the 2GB mark. I wonder if this is part of some of my performance issues. Performance will deteriorate as space gets more fragmented. You might consider running shrink database (during off-peak hours) which will help…

I have just confirmed with two users logged into Cirrus Manager CPU runs at 100% almost constantly still. It seems each user has the service Confirguration-Management.exe and each one users 40-50% CPU. This is becoming critical for us as the application is becoming more and more unusable. How can I determine if this is…

Understood. There may be a way to install the eval over the production version. Try the following: 1. Back up your Orion database. If you don't do this, there's no going back 2. Park your current NTA license using License Manager (server must be able to reach the Internet or this won't work) 3. Uninstall NTA 3.1 4. Install…

Can you clarify what you mean by this? Do you mean you want downloads/uploads load balanced across the 3 interfaces or are you looking for the ability to specify on which interface each device's config should be downloaded?
-
Please open a support ticket and reference this thread and they should be able to provide you this hotfix.

Both case are possible in 5.5.1. We added the ability in inventory jobs to select which inventory items to include. Inventory jobs already allowed selecting specific devices to include. So, to address your use-case, you would do the following: 1. Create Inventory Job A, enable Routing Tables, and select the 15 internal…

You can search for an IP or hostname using the search for Endpoint resource on the NTA summary view, select an interface, and it will allow you to drill-down to an endpoint specific view. The problem is that it doesn't cross all interfaces sending flow data. It sounds like that's what you're looking for is…

Please see this post. This is in the release we're working on wrapping up.

We haven't officially GA'd yet, but that's just a formality at this point. The RC period is over, so the latest build (RC3) will be the GA build.

Can you try adding one more line since the "enable identifier" is not include a "#" at the end? <Command Name="EnableIdentifier" Value="/admin>"/>

Please send me your serial number (through private Thwack email) and I'll look up your key and send it to you.

For those still watching the thread, we've got this functionality implemented in the release currently in dev. If you're interested in walking through a preview demo, please send me an email with available date/times and we'll setup a gotomeeting.

I've done the sheduling, but I get one email per page, is there any way to combine these, so I can get 50-60 graphs in one email rather than 50-60 emails? Else we're stuck copy and pasting! Can you please open a support ticket on this issue? I'd like to have dev look into this. If nothing else, this will ensure it's on our…

Thanks msheehan77 and Questionario. I can't tell you how helpful this level of detail is!

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed! I was looking all over the license management page, but I didn't look at the additional components. I've already opened up a ticket with our web team to change this, so hopefully this won't cause problems for anyone else moving forward.

Glad to hear that!

How are custom properties handled within the Orion NPM database as the 'source' ? If, for instance, I updated an IP address, or address in Orion NPM, will that also be updated in NCM, or will I have to continue running my own SQL to make that work? NCM will still leverage it's own database, but we've included a NPM import…

We've got you covered here. We plan to keep licensing separate from architecture for NCM and NPM (similar to NPM and APM)..

For all those experiencing this issue, please open a ticket with support. These all seem to be related, but we'd like to make sure. Also, this will help with ensuring you're included in the testing phase of verifying the fix.

We've done quite a bit of investigation and unfortunately, this isn't something we can easily resolve in a point release based on the extent of the Windows 2008 Scheduler changes. If possible, I'd recommend running on Windows 2003 for now.

Thanks for your posts. We're working on a 9.0.4 that will resolve these issues.
