AWESOME!!!

I chose "I don't use any SolarWinds products" because there is no "None of the above" answer. I use SEM. It's a SolarWinds product, but it's not Orion, Service Desk, Web Help Desk, or either of the Dameware products.

I would argue that someone telling me there was a reduced need for compliance oversight is a key driver for increased compliance oversight.

Which of the first three questions goes against ITIL best practices???
-
I'm just concerned in general. Like, about everything.

Don't search for "branches of database analytics" and expect to find the answer easily. However, I'm certainly no DBA but if you just focus on the last sentence of the question and have been exposed to any database troubleshooting terminology, it shouldn't take long to get.

Singular of Lego is "Ow!" Plural of Lego is "OwOwOw!"

I absolutely learn more when the questions require action, rather than "here, search for these words on the page that loads". The only SW product I currently use is LEM, so when the missions are about anything else, I have to spend a little time on each question. I'd rather skip a question (or guess) because I didn't have…

Yeah, I should have checked the comments. The question doesn't address permission very well. It's pretty easy in my line of work to obtain permission (via disclosure) when you obtain the customer address.
-
Are you me?

For today's question I chose all checkboxes. I got a red X, but the explanation said "Actually, all are correct!". I'm cornfuzzled.

I've been a sysadmin for years Through the laughter, pain and tears A life void of glamours And not enough hammers But man, I've had plenty of beers!

Most here, but a couple elsewhere. I'm not saying a lack of D&D knowledge helped by any means (but I also don't know any different), but I'm guessing at least one of the answers even some D&D regulars are going to have to dig for, and maybe not being into it helped my search strings. For example, I don't know how to…

I clicked "Like" on your comment, but only because there's not a "Woot! THIS guy GETS it!" option. I've been through SOX audits, and I agree with the "joke" assessment. Our internal audits and our mandatory 3rd party audits are far more comprehensive and meaningful, by design. SOX audits are all about checking boxes. I do…

Aaaaaand now it's out of stock altogether. Now I gotta decide if I'm going to pull the trigger on yet another Thwackpack (I have 2, they're awesome), or hold out for a jacket (I have a previous model, but the current one looks nice)?

I won't win because I just don't win things...it's not my nature, apparently That being said, I think I've made my deepest run into a month without missing one. I generally can't go two whole weeks without my ADD kicking in and choosing an answer without thinking it through!
-
I think the Day 9 hint link is incorrect, but you shouldn't need a hint to answer the question...
-
It made sense to me. I guess we're the weirdos?
-
And then I typo'd the Linus question (14 down). Too much (not enough) coffee, I guess.
-
I've got my crossword filled out, but I have 2 possible 2nd words for 18a (second word has not cross-points). I'm terrified to submit...
-
It's a "thinky" month so far...I love it!
-
I chose the exact opposite of what I would have chosen first thing this morning (had I answered it then). I spent more time on this question than any previous mission. I'm comforted by the fact that the person coming to audit me thinks the same way I do, at least! He's not going to win any security cameras either!
-
Yessir, it got me. I almost answered the question correctly without even looking at the hint, decided to double-check, and then changed my answer based on the doc...and got it wrong. I'd say the wording is wonky, but I also know better! I guess all those vinyls I have stashed away in my Dad's basement will stay put for now!

Sophia's old country wisdom can only be surpassed by Groot.

Spoiler alert!
-
Implementing a solution just to "check off a box" will lead to even bigger compliance issues down the road, I guarantee it. No SIEM is a "set it and forget it" tool. If you're not going to dedicate the time and resources necessary to implement and maintain, you're better off throwing your pennies (dollars, credit cards) in…
