@"donrobert5" suggestion is probably the best way, beyond checking the report actions log
-
It does generate an error in the log for report actions. I'd have to investigate, but there could be a way to alert on that as well.
-
Yes, there are some backend logistics that need to be worked out first and hopefully that won't take too long, but they should return.
-
I'll admit right away that I'm not entirely sure about this one. You might want to float this one up in the VMAN forum? I seem to recall a similar question a while back, and I think it was answered by someone familiar with VMAN, but I can't find the thread now. LOL

This is exactly where my mind was going next. The zero is getting in the way. is it possible to move to a GET or GET NEXT OID that polls each sensor individually and just build a poller for the functioning one?
-
Can you post a screenshot of your Transform Results configuration? I'm not following how this is an additional number. It looks to be giving you a temp in F, though that seems pretty chilly! I don't see any other values, so I'm a little confused how this is extra?
-
No problem! Glad you got your answer
-
what product please?
-
Exactly what I was going to suggest. Thanks @"bobmarley" !
-
I agree with @adam.beedell that you should contact support as there could be a few different reasons why this happened and its hard to pin down a cause in a forum discussion, especially for something as critical as this where time is important.
-
oh! I want a set of those! LOL

100%. NPM (and really any of the Platform Modules) are not fundamentally designed to be real-time solutions. Even with very short polling intervals (NOT recommended), actions and alerting are triggered from data in the database, not in memory, so not a true real-time solution. We have real-time and near-real-time features…
-
I like @"troy.hrehirchuk" 's reply. Allow me to add my two cents. First, You can't replace NPM with NTA. NTA *requires* NPM even to be installed or to function. Without the SNMP data that NPM provides, you do not, in most cases, have a complete picture of the node and interfaces involved in high bandwidth utilization and…

This is a duplicate of the same question in the Classroom forum. Please refer to that thread.

duplicate of a thread started in classroom discussions. Reply from @"donrobert5" is the verified answer for this. Thanks!

This may be a manual calculation as the data is reported to us in TB values not in percent so it isn't in the database in the first place. I see a few articles on THWACK related to this issue but nothing exact. I'm open to suggestions from other THWACKsters!
-
what product? I'm assuming Virtualization Manager?
-
SAM or Hybrid Cloud Observability This is bread and butter of server monitoring and is easy to monitor and easy to alert on once you have the monitoring set up.
-
Definitely needs to go to the Serv-U forum or to support. I'm afraid my knowledge on the detailed workings of the Tools products is limited.
-
Reading this thread, it may not be something easily identified. You may want to consider opening a ticket with support. They can then get details on your environment and the nodes involved to find a solution

answered in the other duplicate thread in this forum

Many charts available in the report writing tool, including custom charts. You can search by keyword in the dynamic selector. On the backend a chart in a report and a chart in the web console are the same resources and the exact same SWQL query, so any chart in web console views can be used in a report. It is just a matter…
-
You also may consider posting this in the Reports Lab on THWACK as there may be a THWACKster who has SCM and could assist you in writing the report queries. thwack.solarwinds.com/.../reports
-
Monitoring it would be pretty much the same as if it was virtual or on prem. The agent is the first option that comes to mind and may be the easiest, especially with port requirements and firewall configurations to AWS
-
First my apologies for being absent, I have been traveling for work for the better part of the last month. @adam.beedell is correct here. First, do we even have the data source? Is the information you require being captured and in the database and if so, how? You may need Windows event log monitoring to get the level of…

I'll ask her to verify. I don't work with the points

So, it looks like my first and sometimes obvious questions are answered. It also looks like you tried all of them in your chart with the same results. However, I'm noticing the "Statistic 0" value in your component monitor and wonder if that is the issue. Take a look at this thread. Granted, it's for a script, but I'm…

Looks like Michelle verified your points a couple weeks ago

I knew the right THWACKster was out there to help :) Thanks for jumping in @"stuartd"
