Howdy, From the command line I get the correct value in %errorlevel%. So I don't really understand why APM doesn't interpret it correctly. I've opened an urgent case with support, but haven't gotten any answers yet. Sigh.

I have set the script engine to PerlScript and execute the perl code. I've tried various methods of exiting: perl exit(0), and the WScript you recommended. No matter what I do, the test of the script comes back as "finished successfully with 'Available' status. I can change the statistics value and see that it failed…

I was able to get that working as well. The nice thing about the use of Chart.asp versus CustomChart.aspxx is former only presents the graph itself. Just the graph is much better to place in customized web pages, in particular when comparing one graph to another. Chaz

We would love to see a rule based discovery of resources on a device. I spend a great deal of time removing or adding interfaces on routers that were improperly dealt with. One of the biggest rules would need to parse descriptions.

Thanks for all the answers guys. I'll do some more experimenting and let you know how it goes.

Just wondering if you ever had a resolution for this? I seem to have the same problem. Thanks.

I have the same problem. The Oracle connection in the template only uses the service name. Checking with out DBAs, many databases are set to use the SID instead of service names. The template does not deal with that.
