Take Two. We said to heck with using 2019 servers, and are now rolling with 2016. So far so good. Everything is installing normally. It did feel a little weird using the Main DB for NTA since we always had a dedicated server before. I'll update once I have more info....45.5% of the way done.

On ours we just linked it to the current database, and everything was pulled from that. Granted we don't have a huge environment (less than a thousand objects), but everything pulled up fine.

I have my current job because I have current SCP certification, with a CCNP. My salary doubled (plus a bit) once I got both those certs. I got it back when it was free, but I plan to re-up in a few years.

Have you noticed a performance hit because of the shared Orion+NPM+NTA DB server? I was planning on maintaining a separate server for the NTA DB.

We had a similar issue with the dot (.) not working in the web browser. Turns out that Mozilla Firefox was the solution. We had originally tried on Chrome and IE 11. IE 11 was unmanageable, it kept requiring the user to click inside the terminal pop-up window after each command, and no dot. Chrome was much better, but no…

Well that is humbling. I just needed to specify the recipient. I'm so ashamed.

I had to run a compliance check based on the config of each interface. Real simple to setup. This is my original post, and in the thread you can see what the configuration of the check looks like. You would just sub out the authentication host-mode auth-mode with what ever interface config you want to verify....i.e. dot1x…

Bumping this. It looks like they stripped us of that ability with the upgrade, unless it's on one of the limited built in tags. This has been the biggest draw back of the upgrade to 2019.4. Hoping someone else has had more luck with creating basic syslog and trap alerts. Word to the wise, if you have legacy trap and syslog…

You are not alone in this. My Orion Deployment Health, Updates & Evaluations, and diagnostics are all blank. I can see my servers, but all other pages are blank.

Update: Server 2019 has a known issue with the MSMQ service. The CIS control causes this and requires a GPO update for our site because of admin settings. CIS Control 18.8.26.1 (L1) Ensure 'Untrusted Font Blocking' is set to 'Enabled: Block untrusted fonts and log events' Rolling back the upgrade at this point because…

Just uprgraded from 12.0 to 12.0.1. Netpath has already come in handy, now we can see the path to much needed resources. We are also running NTA 4.2 and NCM 7.5.0, may wait and see how this goes then upgrade those as well.

My organization is planning on making the same jump. Because of new requirements, we are going to have to use new servers, although I'm still undecided on whether or not I want to use the same IP's or not. I would love to hear how your upgrade goes. I reached out to support and this was the response: Here are the steps for…

Was there a solution for this?
