Greetings, Can you clarify the Integrated search please? We just ugraded to NPM 12.2, so I haven't yet found what you are referring to. Thanks!

This would be so valuable. I have 30 engineers who want this view as it provides a much more complete view of a site, and it allows them to unmanage an entire site, (5 to 205 devices) in one click. I don't want them to be able to modify node custom properties as that could change alerting/reporting etc., but the multiple…

Thanks for the reply! ... it's very much appreciated. We didn't see any unwanted dependencies in our testing, but I do expect we'll get a few. I wish I could turn on auto dependencies on a site by site basis, but it appears to be all or nothing. If turned on, I can deactivate past that.. Again, thank you!

Thank you both for the reply! Much appreciated. I'm working on this with this query. I'm still getting an error message stating "invalid object name "Orion.NPM. Interfaces'. I'm digging in the DB to see if this is the correct table name...

Thanks! Yeah, it seems just touching the alert resolves the message... strange, but at least it doesn't seem to be affecting anything. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we did rerun the config wizard several times, to no avail. Support also tried repairing the core services, as well as rebuilding several tables in the database. Their final suggestion was to restore to the original version and try again. I'm hoping that this was just a fluke, and that if we…

Thanks for the reply! I like the idea of using Kiwi as a "front end" to Orion. We've been concerned that the amount of messages coming directly into Orion could possibly take excessive resources to parse, thus preventing Orion from running as efficiently as possible in it's other monitoring tasks. (we're monitoring around…

Thanks... This seems to update the "Active Alert Details" but not the window on the main device view. I'm using the "Last XX Notes" The Engineers want to be able to include notes on the device regardless of alert status.. they may be more general notes. I could be missing something, but what you provided isn't quite the…

Thanks Brandon.... I'll do that. We have no test environment either, but looking forward to trying this out once it's released.

Can you provide the sql for the alert in it's entirety please? I'm using this but am not able to make it work. I'm sure I'm missing something as I am not good with SQL. Thanks,

Thank you David.. this confirms my thoughts as well. I think it will work this way, we just would have to get signoff from our security folks. Thanks again!

Thank you. Yes, we opened a Cisco TAC case several months ago and they discovered the bug and are continuing to work on it. In the meantime, our Network team has decided to go to a different Cisco IOS, which does not have the bug. Thanks for the follow-up Serena!

I upgraded a small development environment. (less than 100 nodes total with NPM, NTA, and NCM). The upgrade went "ok", but the VIM function isn't working at all. The Virtualization Summary view is not updating, and there is no host to guest associations anymore. I've been 2 weeks with support and no resolution yet. At this…

Sorry to hear of your issues. We are similar... I upgraded our Development environment from 2019.2 to 2020.2. The upgrade went fairly smoothly, but VIM did not update. We now have no ability to see our Hyper-V servers in a virtualization view. We were using the built in VIM tool with basic polling. The view is not updating…

It appears that this is in for a feature request.....layer 2 monitoring.

Cisco has acknowledged that they have a defect in their IOS 16.6.3. Their last response to this was: after a huge effort to contact the developers a bug has been created and we are working closely with the development team to fix it.
