Are you able to send me details of that alert? thanks
-
This would be useful, but you can get around it some what with building a undp poller.

So does this mean for CBQOS you are looking at dramatically increasing the data retention for this? At the moment that part of the tool is esssentially useless for us, as we want to use it for capacity planning and historical troubleshooting.
-
No worries, but we only found this out after logging a tac case on it, as it had us stumped.

Thanks for the info, but it looks like all of mine are default, so I don't think this is the issue. We are trying some different things, but may need to log a support case.

In some secure clients, you are not allowed to send sensitive information to vendors, hence my question what exactly is it sending to cisco apart from serial numbers and models etcetra?
-
I am more interested in config stats and history of the device as a whole. I wouldn't use it too much on indepth interface analysis. I find it slightly "concerning" that doing this would reduce DB performance, when we are able to retain data on other OSS tools for multiple years without an issue. I need to retain this info…

For us this turned out to be due to a Cisco Bug on 15.x IOS routers, it was not a Solarwinds issue. That might be the cause for you as well. After 42 days the graphs would swap due to the cisco bug

If you put a device in an unmanaged state, does that mean it is still counting towards the polling limit within NPM? As I want to keep historical data for some decommissioned equipment, and I have put it into a non managed state

Thanks for the quick reply, I would be interested in finding out if there is another way of doing this, without interfering with the database. Maybe I should log an enhancement request.

Any more news re CS1K support?

Is this Avaya monitoring covering Avaya Blue and Avaya Red?

See feature request http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3596

And what exactly do you mean by Provide End-of-Life information for managed devices. Is this intended at replacing the free NDS Tool altogether? If so what vendors does this cover? Ie for instance CISCO? thanks Chris

Does this mean the CBQOS granularity is now set to 1 minute as well, and doesn't aggregate up? Or is that only for Netflow data?

We currently have our NPM DB and NCM DB on a common Database server seperate to our Solarwinds Server. Has anyone had any issues with the merging of the two databases? Obviously backups will need to be done etc before we go ahead with the upgrade, just eager to hear other peoples issues and concerns if they have any

Anyone have any ideas? Im sure people have run into this issue before.
-
As a side note can anyone tell me if you can sanitise any info in the tool if you need to due to security requirements? thanks
-
I need it in a csv file to run an sla report on it.

We Have Nexus 7000's coming in our environment soon as well, so I would be interested in an answer on this as well. Thanks
