Hi smcginnis, Did you get your report to work? I've got 26 array's being monitored by SM, however when I run/build the trespass report it only shows 2 arrays (these 2 arrays do in fact have trespassed luns).. Is the report designed to only show devices that have Trespassed LUN's? Every other report I build seems to select…

Hi Balki, Looks like we are no longer getting the new v2 VNXe's They do not support replication back to older v1 VNX's so that sorta kills what we are planning to do :(
-
Thanks, I'll post a feature request.

We should be getting some of the newer VNXe 3200's - but not sure when I'll be able to get my hands on one (scheduled for release in May '14)

Will this need a FR? Management here seems to love pretty pie graphs and the less excel work I have to do and the more that can be auto generated will make my life a little easier :)

Thank you Susan! Much appreciated...

Hi Waleed, Output 7 seems a tad strange... What version of SMI-S are you using? How many arrays are configured on the SMI-S Provider (or is the VNX the first one?) If there are other Arrays configured, When you connect to TestSMIProvider and use option DV; do you see the serial #'s of the other arrays? I'm assuming that…

For required ports in Storage Manager For Processes - check the Storage Manager Admin Guide. I have SM installed on windows, for can't help you for the specific processes in linux. Chris

Anyone??

Okies, looks like I've found the issue - running these 2 reports side by side: Storage Array EMC VNX/CLARiiON: Physical Disks - shows 90 drives (no vault / unbound disks) Storage Array: Physical Disk Drives - shows 101 drives (incl vault & unbound disks) The Storage Array: Physical Disk Drives - produces more useable…

Hi Raptorpete, What version of Storage Manager & SMI-S Provider are you using? What model of filer/ONTAP are you using?

I'm definately interested to know if this goes ahead, there's been talk abaout replacing our fleet of NetApp Filers with VNXe's so having Solarwinds monitoring these with our CLARiiON and VNX's would very handy! I thought it strange that they would have developed the VNXe to not been able to use the Standard SMI-S…

This is a slightly late thread revivial reply as I've recently had the same issue. The probelm is the account on the Array that is used for 'reporting' doesn't have high enough privledges (Hence the access denied). If you are using the Operator 'Storage Domain Role' - This is too low, you need to elevate the account (we…

Looking forward to some of these features..

You currently cannot manage VNXe's in Storage Manager as the VNXe's do not use SMI-S to communicate with SM. (Unless this *MAY* have changed in the newer VNXe's but I'd highly doubt it).

What version of SM are you using? I'm not sure if this has been addressed in the later versions of SM, but in 5.3.x you can do it, but it's a tad messy... Example: You want a report to run every 4 hours & emailed to you: Go to Reports > Report Schedules and create a New Schedule ( You will need a schedule for every time…
