I tried to find his, but I didn't see any posting. I'd gladly upvote anyone's idea that incorporates this. I really think it's something major that is lacking.

I've tried countless options. I cannot get this to pull a time column when doing a custom SQL chart. Even adding the macros does no good. This same report pulls in a custom table... Select ${FromTimeUTC} AS Time, APM_Component.Name, SUM(APM_CurrentComponentStatus.InstanceCount) AS 'Count' FROM APM_ComponentTemplate FULL…

I'm trying to get a historical count of processes underneath a head Citrix Application Monitor. My Query is: Select APM_ComponentTemplate.Name, SUM(APM_CurrentComponentStatus.InstanceCount) AS 'Count', MAX(APM_CurrentComponentStatus.TimeStamp) as 'datetime' FROM APM_ComponentTemplate FULL JOIN APM_Component ON…

I would like to see this in SAM too. We have some many nodes come and go, I would like to have scheduled scans and then have specific fields like Region/City/Facility auto populated based on subnet. I'd imagine this should be fairly easy to implement and would benefit most SolarWinds modules.

Finding this is an issue with our new telepresence hardware as well

Wish the Columbus one was on a weekend! Can't make a 2 hour trip without burning vacation.

Definitely looking forward to it!

How long does it take to usually get your thwack poinits? I haven't received any of mine yet.

So in the video they talk about phishing at the corporate level with the goal of getting money around the 20 minute mark. HOWEVER, according to question 4 I believe, it says this is not a goal in corporation phishing. I'd like to send this one back to the judges! (It's my only wrong question too!)

Not all of the admins here have Thwack accounts (blaspheme I know!). If I can convince the business of sending a few on a the company dime, am I able to reserve a spot for them as well?
-
Unfortunately that does not work. It will for StartIpReservation endpoint (only IPv4). It really seems there is a bug here: vs

Shoot I was hoping someone had a fix for using the next available verbs for both ipv4 and ipv6.

aLTeReGo have I mentioned you are my hero yet? So the user account has same access as my own, and I guess I just assumed that it ran fine under that name. When I logged in as the service account, I found the encrypted password file I called upon did not grant access to my service account. I then created a new file with…

Touche. Just tested hardcoded NodeID and it appears to be the snap-in unable run. Any suggestions?

Changing the path didn't seem to change the outcome. Previously even pointing at the 64-bit powershell.exe it was running. It was triggering the part of the script that logs what user is calling it. Just didn't appear to pass the variable or add the snap-in (not sure which). Pointint to the syswow executable is the same…

I'll have to give this a go starting Monday. Thanks for the heads up! My biggest hurdle is getting root access on machines to test :-|

Well still had issues. Due to LUN latency during our backup windows, our IVIM would start to lose connection and eventually become so overwhelmed with backlog (usually took about 3 days) that it would disconnect again. To resolve this with a fix I edited the following two tables in SQL: VIM_PollingTaskTypes Table Update…

I know this is a long time after the subject, but are you saying that if I choose baselines for CPU/MEM, that they don't populate with a rolling 7 days. It's calculated once. If I want new metrics (added capacity, etc), I need to manually run the baselines on my nodes again? aLTeReGo

Woo! One step closer. I knew I should've come to you first aLTeReGo One more issue. So it runs now as the user but I can't tell if it's passing the arg through. My external launch is this: C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe "E:\Scripts\Running\DeleteNode.ps1" ${N=SwisEntity;M=NodeID} I've also tried…

You are a hero among men. Even though those lines exist in the new location, they are not active. Doing what that link said worked.

This seems to be working properly now. -Knock on wood- . I'm still curious with a few blips missing in data if the timeout is also an issue, but it's odd that all ESX hosts and vCenters have to be on the primary poller for this to successfully stay connected. It sounded like from the tech support that this was a known bug…

I'll have to perform these steps tonight. The person working my ticket has ceased to follow up. SW Service desk is worthless if you call about IPAM or VMAN IMO

I'm having the same issue. I have always gotten blog posts at the top, and my server is set for auto discover proxy. None of the Thwack resources on the pages load, and the templates section does not load however. Can I set this file to Auto Detect somehow or to use Windows rules?

No matter what I do, powershell runs as "NT Authority\System". I've changed the service and still a no go. My powershell scripts can't load the snap-in when ran as \system. Any advice? The Run as feature in advanced alerting doesn't work for me either. EVERY account I try can't validate. I wonder what could be missing and…
-
It's important to note, if you are already getting alerts on these during reboots, you will have to exclude your machines from the current alert created.
-
Though I could be chasing the incorrect thing to get this to work. Logging in with my account in settings I can link my profile to solarwinds.com and I've always gotten blog posts at the top. The only think that never works is the Thwack resources.
-
What versions of Linux does this support? Just the Cent Ubuntu and RHE I see listed in that drop down for the manual install screen?

My scans worked until adding in DHCP servers. Bot the jobengine installers and file replacement fixes are temporary only. It's almost as if the scanning locks on one of the DHCP servers and never allows the next batch to run. Items tried: Adjusted number of concurrent scans - No Impact Adjusted transient period - No Impact…

We've found 5 minutes delay works well. Evaluate the trigger every minute, on the first tab of alert creation, then we configure most of ours like this: In this, I have a global shutoff for the alert so I don't have to edit the alert and retrigger everything. This is the Node Alerting must equal 'No'. If yes, it actually…

860584 stevenwhunt To troubleshoot we moved all vCenters and ESX in orion to the same poller. If that doesn't work on Tuesday if will modify the VIM table to increase the time outs of the api
