This worked for me.

That appears to be pointing to an old location that may/may not have controlled this at one time. The point is, my server is on auto detect proxy, I shouldn't have to enter proxy settings into Orion to get it to work. Even when I manually edit the SolarWinds.Orion.Core.BusinessLayer.dll.config file it does nothing. I tried…

Make sure you change the default Summary View and the Home Page View. Otherwise they will log into one page, but if they hit home they will be redirected back to the page you want them off of. I did this easily by copying the current summary page. That way they started with a similar view, but they could edit it from that…

Fixed an issue I had with the Universal Device Poller, but did not fix my Audit Trail. I think something from Hotfix 2 is hosing my current.
-
Beyond uninstalling the jobengine and collector pieces my support case hasn't touched on this. What files specifically did they have you delete? I'd really love to get IPAM up and running to a useful state.
-
Currently I have a long going support ticket with tech support. I'll update if I get anything, but right now anything they have me try and do temp fixes at most for a day. I did however have an issue with my additional web pollers getting a memory leak issue and they had a custom patch for my businesslayer.dll so maybe…

It'd be nice to see Orion automatically manage new VMs as they are detected within a vCenter. It's a pain going to look for details on a failed machine and seeing it wasn't ever truly managed within Orion.
-
Looks like he needed to change the api from Google to the correct one.
-
You have to edit some of the code to ignore the weather overlay for the centering to work.
-
I'm not sure how the built in map functions. I've noticed with auto locate, if I moved items they would shift back to another location after a while. I can help you walk through the Google setup (albeit I have a little rust when it comes to this topic). I'll PM you my info.

Sending you a PM

It should start with /Orion. Remove the HTTP:/

morcowbel293 You ever get yours up and running? Need assistance?
-
grimey Your HTML resource should have a link that looks like: <iframe src="/Orion/GoogleMap/GoogleMap.aspx?maptype=TERRAIN&radar=true&state=OH" width="100%" frameborder=0 height=800 scrolling=no align=center></iframe> Also, I'm running latest everything and yes this still works. We prefer the functionality and look of…

delete http://xxx.xx.xx.xx:8080 should just start with /orion/...... for your source like: <iframe src="/Orion/GoogleMap/GoogleMap.aspx?maptype=TERRAIN&radar=true&state=OH" width="100%" frameborder=0 height=800 scrolling=no align=center></iframe> (also, delete your personal information in your post. No need for exact…

I mean what you are pasting into the HTML resource on your Orion page.
-
Can you paste your code?
-
Not sure where you are getting the error, but have you define the FQDN or IP in the scripts? I'm assuming the server is in a different domain?

That many cities is rough. In manage nodes click edit custom properties. From there you could add longitude, latitude, and your SNMP location columns. Filter each location from the SNMP location, check all the boxes of the same location and do multiple edit (not in front of mine but worded similar) then change the fields…
-
Can't you just edit custome properties, filter on on let's say Detroit, check all and edit multiple Lat/Long at same time? Took me about an hour to look up or coordinates and do this for our 2900 nodes.
-
I have a typo on my latitude custom property which kept the map a blank square. Fixed that. Now trying to find an option for weather overlay globally. We have roughly 100 locations we'd like to see with a rain/cloud overlay on top if possible.
-
Scratch that, commented out line 33 properly and it got rid of the error. Now I'm in the same boat as anyone 11.x. Just a blank square with no map.
-
I can't seem to get this to work. Could be we are on 11.5 now, but when I add the iframe I get this error: C:\InetPub\SolarWinds\Orion\GoogleMap\GoogleMap.aspx(33): error BC30035: Syntax error.

This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I want to set up scheduled subnet scans, but I want the devices to drop in the correct Region/Country/City. Looking to have a dynamic query set for subnet scanning and allow nodes to be automatically assigned custom properties based off of this.

FoE was a failed experiment before I took over SW at my work. From explanations on the product, there was log shipping to our DR location with another setup of machines configured with F5 load balancing. The whole why it didn't work and what not I'm not sure of. I was just hoping for an option for true 0 downtime upgrades.…
-
So with this HA option I see only 1 database is required. What about doing SolarWinds upgrades to a machine? Those usually take a few hours to complete, it'd be nice to have everyone run on the HA machine and failback when the upgrade is complete. Do I have to stick to the FO product on this :-/

Unfortunately trying to convince our Linux admins to turn on SNMP and configure has been an uphill battle. They are used to using a shareware software that has had an easy to configure agent installed. It would be nice to get a large range of OS's as a lot of OVA's seem to come with CentOS or Debian. To give you an idea of…
-
So odd question. If we install the Linux Agent on a machine, do you think it will communicate back to the 6.2 SAM as well?

I'm having a similar issue and have been working with support since the update back in June/July. It has to be a failure with IVIM. If I look at VMAN everything is polling fine. If I configure NPM to poll the vCenters directly, everything polls fine. When I sync NPM with VMAN, I get errors about incorrect credentials,…
