I'm quite fond of reminiscing about the day I put an end to a Ransomware siege. The only info I had to go on was that 30,000 critical files were encrypted, each with it's own ransome note. We had no idea what the source of the infection on the network was, or if there was anything happening that hadn't yet been reported.…

Working SuperStack 3 Family device template submitted:

Absolutely, at the moment without detailed info on how this will all work, we're left to make assumptions. However with the information that I have available to me, I'll be letting my SCP expire. As much as I like Solarwinds product set, the certification doesn't have value attached to it when it costs money to achieve.…

Thanks mate, was unable to find any documentation on Agent system req's!

Is there a command template available for this? I've got several legacy 3com switches that I'd like to be able to back up. They all use this same CLI. Thanks in advance!

Creating a "New Probe" from the NetPath Services dashboard seems to resolve this issue. However all probes (except the one that's always worked) refuses to poll. Just stays grey with the message "First poll not yet complete". Extremely frustrating.

That knowledge article doesn't make any sense... If your IPAM server is Domain1\IPAM, and your adding a DHCP server: Domain2\DHCP, how does creating a local user on IPAM fix this? Surely IPAM\username isn't going to work when adding Domain2\DHCP because that authentication is still going to go to Domain2\DC... Even if you…

Better late than never, but I've just submitted a working device template for the 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch family.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Cal, but my concern remains value of SCP to me. You mention events and training, but for me, that's the wrong kind of value I'd be looking for. For me, certification means career progress and reward. I don't want rewarded with more training, I want a better job and better pay.…

Just experienced this problem on a 8 month old v12 installation. Running Atlas as Administrator sorted it for me, but has been working fine until today. Smells like a .net related Windows patch to me...

With further testing being conducted, probes installed on Windows 8.1 machines work. Probes installed on Windows XP machines, don't. Is there a compatability issue with NetPath agent and Windows XP?
-
I've now managed to reinstall the agent on the machines in a way that forces them into Agent-initialized mode (recommended). However, these agents, don't appear under the probes list to assign to a NetPath Service.

If I'm following your question correctly, it sounds like you have kit outside the network this TFTP server is installed on. You'd like that kit to be able to use the internet to get to your PC to access the TFTP server? If this is the case, it sounds like you'd need to either configure a specific firewall rule (assuming…

Not good enough for me. I may be one voice, but Solarwinds as an organisation appears to be heading in completely the wrong direction. If what I've learned this week about the change to how partners can offer discounts is true, everything about this new direction is just a cash grab. Quite happy to let my SCP expire, it…

It's a nope from me. I may be speaking out of turn here, but given my personal experience, there's not exactly a great many employers out there that actually value the SCP. When I achieved SCP status, I wasn't monetarily rewarded by my organisation. When I put that SCP on my LinkedIn, there wasn't anyone queuing up with…

A similiar system of grouping in NCM as currently exists in NPM. What I'd love more than anything, is to group devices by a region, then by device type, then by IOS. This will make bulk config changes much easier!
