Taking a look into this, you might need a custom sql report until 'Events' are integrated into Alerting, for more than just nodes. Vote here in the meantime:

Have had this happen due to a few different reasons over the years. Your best bet is to reference your logs to determine what action is best. If you are not familiar with the logs, or do not have the time to search; I would suggest you open a case. So with that, confirm some details before you try anything - Corrupt…
-
Quite often actually. It's great to add an extra detail to differentiate your reports.

This link may also help, if you still need more info on this. Status values

Within your application from the Manage Applications Page, you should see a Tab Labeled 'SHARED TEMPLATES ON THWACK' -CharlesH Loop1 Systems: SolarWinds Training and Professional Services * LinkedIN: Loop1 Systems * Facebook: Loop1 Systems * Twitter: @Loop1Systems

We created an additional component for the Office 365 to check for Disabled AD Users. I am working out the details now so we can get this uploaded and make it available. 2her, Thanks for your time and help testing this. You also are not the only one wanting reports with the data returned, so I will try to find an option…

Make sure your type of Property to Monitor is 'AUDIT EVENTS' if you are trying to set up an alert with Advanced Alerts! For a Delete Node Alert, I did not change the reset to anything specific. And it has worked a few times without any actual reset. *And if an alert can only trigger once without being reset, what happens…

Please elaborate - is this text from a Syslog, Trap or an Alert? And assumption is that this is coming from NPM about the server - Just to confirm it is NOT coming from SAM about your SQL? *SNMP or WMI monitoring on your server?

Welcome to The Show! gazwales!!!!! Depending on your Licensing, you may have an extra poller there. Start with a 2 server setup - 1 for DB, 1 for App. Happy Thwacking!

I do believe you are in need up an update; per SolarWinds. Whitelisted items still show as Rogue devices - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support If I am reading this correct, the issue should be resolved with UDT 3.3. If you are running 3.3 or 3.3.1 then something may have happened with the installer. I would check…

Click on the interface - This opens the interface details page. Under the 'Interface Details' portion of the page - CLICK - Edit Interface 2nd portion is 'Bandwidth' -> Click 'Custom Bandwidth' and adjust so this is accurate and your % utilization is actually correctly reflected. Hope that is what you are looking for.

There should be serious consideration for Deltona 's concerns. As I too am part of an environment where patching is acceptable and understood. BUT Moving to a new Version requires paperwork, scope, testing, planning, a NEW Risk Assessment, implementation and further checking to verify everything is running properly. It is…

This is very easy to do with NCM. If you are cleaning up, consider the different setups/amount of mess that you have. You can build in all the NO's you need to, to dump the bad or non conforming ACL's and then setup your baseline. Separate a second script for additions to specific area's like data centers or some…

With the device studio you can adjust your Default Pollers, or Device Pollers. Node Details such as Vendor, Model, Revision, Firmware/Software revision, and then also CPU & Memory. So if SolarWinds does not get this info from a device out of the box, you can adjust the OIDs the system is using for the Node Details…

I had this same Issue with a client last week. One of our other engineers checked the system - the Custom Property I created and set a value for did not show when the other engineer was logged in. I found out after as well, he had created a CP that I did not see at the same time. This is apparently a known issue, SW is…

To do what you want you could use a pivot in a SQL report. the Issue with that is unless you have congruence in details from the MIB Tables the data you want to display together may or may not work well. Worst thing here is once you have your report setup you might have to separate different vendors or portions of your…

I have found that on my switches with the issue code version the value comes back with a 6.. basically a removed PS. re-seating the PS normally clears the value and resets it back to a 2 or normal state.
-
Not sure if there is an issue, but my AJAX Tree's... all of them, and my Applications listing... are all in alphabetical order. I can not find an option to change this from said alphabetized setup. Even my list of servers.. though this is all in my AJAX Node list.

Show me your report build out as it is to show all the data, even if on separate lines. - also you can show SQL, copy and paste that here, as SQL should be more capable in doing what you need here.
-
I think I am guessing here, but it sounds like you need a more complex trigger, and should still use your simple reset with the adjusted threshold of below 80% for 2 mins before reset. Instead of using your naming prefix/circumfix/interfix/suffix or whatever affix, separate your two servers by name within an OR condition…

I am trying to adjust our setup's at this point. We have an Admin Context, and essentially all VDC's need to be monitored and have their configurations captured separately. Aside from the additional entry into NPM & NCM for each Context we are capturing the normal stuff. My contexts have limited interfaces, basically the…

Is this a UnDP Value? What is your device type, and/or container type? Also if a UnDP what is your OID? Initially I hear container and think Cisco.. but it could be something different, please specify.
-
But also that may not be for your exact Device, what model are you working with?

First thing I read is that 'Healthy' may be a Description of the device status. I would normally expect a numeric for any poller returning a 'Value' This is the next thing I found systemHealth OBJECT-TYPE SYNTAX INTEGER { healthy (10000), degraded (30000), admissionControl (31000), critical (50000) } Try alerting when the…

For extremely critical items you can always use Traps and Syslogs ... those are just about as real time as you can get. Cisco Module Change *cefcmodulestatus* I think is the flag to use; just watch those conditions and how they send the logs then hone in on them. But yes, to get more details if your DB/Storage can handle…

If you can talk your Company into sending you to Austin for a Week to hang out with the folks at Loop1 Systems, DO IT! It was a great experience, and the variety of people in the class helped with the depth of real world implementation, application, scenario's (disaster, monitoring, etc), setup idea's, monitoring…

you can filter the resource on Custom Properties. Click the 'Edit' Link in the top right corner of the module. CPName = 'ValueNeeded' and those nodes/interfaces will show up. * I know this is a little dated, but just in case you never found the answer. Let us<Thwackers> know if you need more help. -CharlesH Loop1 Systems:…

It should not be an issue for your Azure based SolarWinds instance to manage your Azure based DNS. The HA just needs a credential so in the event it can update DNS to point to your second server. If you are moving to Azure, then you will need to size your DB needs. There is a DTU Calculation utility that you need to run on…

martian monster - YES! Solarwinds does give you options here for reduced pricing for Dev (if i remember the sales guys words correctly.) It is not something I deal with directly; but I know someone who does. Feel free to DM your contact info and I can get you in touch with someone if you do not have a contact already.
