It's okay if you have been, 'The User' .. we don't hate

Did you say, or just think that answer?

And where is this : Assettag ? I have the rest but can not find where the asset tag shows. Nor through the DB Manager can I find this field in any of the tables/views. Thanks!

I have tabular pollers that poll for Module Model #'s and Module Serial #'s I also have a Chassis Serial # Poller. How can I bring in these different pollers. What structure should the arguement be to show my chassis poller, along with my module model # pollers and then also display the module Serial # of each entity…

I think you may have it, I'll check shortly to see if this is it.

Kellie you ROCK! Thanks for the points... one random post on an old thread and see what happens..though I was happy to see this brought to the front for another look.

Your Errors are are going to be in the log files. In the DB Tables there is a column for logs - default is null on this column until there is a log written for a job issue/failure. I can not find any error, or error messages in the DB tables for the NCM Jobs (like you find for SAM component errors), only a job status. And…

I am not sure if this would help, but the Hardware Health monitoring has issues with the 3750's on older code versions. This may also be the same with the end of life reporting. Check your versions to see if there any one; or test new versions to see if you can get this value to report properly. Seems there are a few OID…

While I agree that this should be an option, in the case of scoping your alert; it is a massive disappointment! BUT I can attest to custom properties working for reporting and alerting conditions when you have an excess of 100 nodes. 100+ nodes in the entire system and 100+ nodes within that Custom Property naming (or…

SO, when running a Stand Alone NCM Server this template(SolarWinds by aLTeReGo) has services that are not running on the server. The inclusiveness of the NPM applications is incorrect for this type of setup, as the application will always be down or critical due to the lack of NPM Services running on the NCM Stand Alone…

I have a separate NCM Server; are there any considerations there, off the top some of these services on your template are running on my NPM Server, and not the NCM. Thanks, I figured either you or Bronx would be replying to this.

Don't uncheck them all, just uncheck ALL, then check the few you need. Search for 470, and 534 to fine each 'set' of Power supplies or Fans that you need.

If you are running 11.5 then just go to Manage Nodes... the merging of the DBs created for an easier interface in management. Everything is done from the same page now.

Yes, I was going to do that, but my volume size became too low after updating all my mibs.cfg - This was a test box - so I have my server guys found more HDD's to put in. I should get a re-image today and a reinstall later once they are done with their part. That was my course of action, limitations stopped me in my…

I submitted this last Friday, weird.

I am not quite sure of the exact frequency but if you log into the Customer Portal you can see the date and size when you download it. Compare that to your current file to see if an update is relevant. I believe it is updated several times a year, just unsure of exact progress.

Where's your Feature Request? wluther

On a base level - are things working? Web Engine, At least 1 Alert, Reports still in tact , etc? You may be seeing new 'presets' or out of the box features/alerts/etc.... if they are not active just go past and check your alerts - that they made it through and are still active and working. You can make sure you have no…

Truncate only if you are okay with losing data. What are the retention settings(under IPAM Maintenance Settings)? Compare that with how far back the data goes, if you have more data than what your retention is set for check your DB maintenance job/run db maintenance. Default retention is a year/365 days, and if you have a…

Thanks for the insight.. as decoding these values is not always accurate.. the notation is not exact and results in duplicates.

I thought there was a default group member down alert already built in.... it would look like what purdue98 put up.

You are correct sir! Thanks for the quick reply - Silly drop down Menu's

my exported reports export all the data into the first cell of each row. I am now going to try a manual copy & paste... maybe that will keep the table divisions and translate into excel proper.......
-
I would say, NCM would have to do a config DL both before and after the change to make sure the Auto Change does show in the config changes reports...that would eliminate the tracking down of crazy changes. Also there must be a way to limit or cap your changes. One change creates an issue down the line, that causes another…

Anyone able to pull the device serial # ? I found a OID with a label of serialnumber, but it seems to be the # of the node in the entire setup - since we have redundancy.

do you have the Cert UnDP's setup as Tabular Pollers? If not change them and add the Tabular Poller Resource to your page for the node then edit and check your boxes. Specifically : sslCertKeyName (1.3.6.1.4.1.5951.4.1.1.56.1.1.1) & sslDaysToExpire (1.3.6.1.4.1.5951.4.1.1.56.1.1.5) They will Line up by RowID and show a…

Rick, do a 'show arp' and see if your are collecting that data from your access layer. Might you need to consider vrf or any other setup? show arp (cisco) To display the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), enter the show arp command in EXEC mode. show arp vrf vrf-name [traffic] [ ip-address | hardware-address |…
