Who's willing to put money on there being no feedback for either specifics or whether or not he got it working.. whatever it was.

Add a flag to open it as full screen, maybe it will fill the module window?

not sure what Group this is, but your Limitations of North and South America - are they on the other account? If so, can you post a shot of each display or manage nodes page where the list of nodes shows (so 2 shots of same page with the diff account logins...) - this is really better coming off a summary page...if it is…

Not much of the navigation, only rarely to sometimes. I do use the 'Create' drop down that is present.

So they have to be your friend in order to tell them to go away... lol

Looks like there is some clean up you can do here... make sure you are not over retaining your history for EVERYTHING on this small little engine that could setup. I would also stop sending the netflow data for those devices or interfaces that the system is just dumping..

Thanks for the specific feedback! Very Nice!

I am missing something here, where can I find this Views Table to edit? to cahnge the * ViewGroupPosition * ViewGroupName

I don't exactly like that list because it keeps Discards at the top of your list. So even if no errors occur and your over bandwidth, or your Firewall is doing it's job you will get discards. I try to limit my top lists to the Error's only (even adding a filter that keeps it tied to nodes with more than 1 or 0 errors....…

jiri.tomek; are there any specific settings that would help playback on a Windows 7 box? I have an instance that does not seem to be overloaded by any metric, but transactions often either flap unknown and up or Down and Up between sequential transactions plays. Would adjusting NumWorkerProcesses to 1 in…

What was your resolution? Can you share?

If you have a working alert you can use that alert to execute a script and restart the services you need to. Rather than restarting all services, I would open a support case or reference your logs to determine what is causing the failure and figure out what specific service is being affected. Reference these links for help…

I was about to say the same. Check the server Setup - also check your ACL's on your switches nd make sure they are allowing the traffic. If your switches ACL's are in order make sure the FW's are setup to allow the traffic through.

Why do we not have an option to Import Network Atlas Maps into Orion Maps? When will the Account Limitation Builder be migrated to the Web Console, and work with all Orion applications?
-
The same way you apply pollers to nodes with the App, you simply uncheck the nodes that you want to remove the pollers from. You can sort by vendor, machine type, etc. to ease your selection process.

Did you lose your SQLBrowser Service? or need to restart SQLServer in this case of that error? That named pipe error:40 could also be related to communication issues/ports not being open. I have seen it happen both ways (FW/Comm issue, and SQL Browser being stopped) Did you migrate to a new SQL server? If the Info Service…

Thank you

I would also like to be able to build the connection with only 1 interface's details, where the other node may be ICMP or External.

SAM is licensed as an application, when your element count is above 12,000 (or so) or your polling rate is above 100%, you need an additional polling engine. It gets all the apps installed so device/app/entity polling can all happen from more than 1 server. The APE talks to the DB and the devices directly. The cost (and…

So where can you confirm that the maintenance is running as it should?

Other technologies like Television are not using the same things they did 50 years ago.

If you got that data by Exporting a chart to Excel, then just change the chart to Sample Interval to 5 minutes and it will break out the data. The kicker here is default polling interval for interfaces is every 9 minutes, so unless you are polling these specific interfaces every 5 minutes there will not be enough data to…

The Website message is normal, the CW waits for the website to turn up to test accessibility. The agents sometimes have an issue installing, you might need to check port availability. 22, 135, 445 are needed for install…

I think the default setting for the alert on the 'High Packet Loss' & 'High Packet Loss Monitoring' is 40. If the Subject line is "ALERT: Packet loss for ${NodeName} is abnormally high", disable the Alert titled 'High response time' or copy and edit if that alert is needed. This needs an edit if you are going to use the…

Just wanted to update a detail I came across; This is also highlighted in the Orion documentation @ https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/SAM/Content/SAM-Script-Report-Status-Through-Exit-Codes.htm
-
I would check the device polling. If using 64 bit counters you will need the option checked on the node, but also will need to use Counter Rollover Method 2. If your rollover is Method 1, then your #'s are 'calculated' Method 1 = (MaxValue - LastPolledValue) + CurrentPolledValue Method 2, the value is discarded on rollover…

Use the format of <scripting language path> ${SCRIPT} on the Command Line: entry. You do not need the full path, but you can run with it if preferred. ex: bash ${SCRIPT} your output statistic and message looks good, just make sure your exit codes setup is good as well.

Yes, I have done this before using the Windows Powershell Monitor and a simple script And I have an example : https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/SAM-Documents/Windows-Update-Settings-via-Registry-Check/ta-p/533028 It took me a few tries when I did this and was able to achieve once I abbreviated the Hives the break out is as…

@"mrxinu" , I can not tell you how many times I have clicked on 'Show Me' only to see muted entities; and how many times I have thought of this FR directly. All our Kudos belong to you!
