  • You have to setup a Custom Report to make this happen - Groups currently do not have the associations in the DB to get a report like you want without SQL/SWQL to join the tables with the needed data.
  • Just put the entire block you need to verify in the string box and alert if there is not a match. Anything different (i.e. anything missing, extra or just plain different) will alert. Sending a DM also. -CharlesH Loop1 Systems: SolarWinds Training and Professional Services * LinkedIN: Loop1 Systems * Facebook: Loop1…
  • Yes this should be fixed, more control is better. And I do not want to have to sync every time I or someone else forgot to remove the node from NCM first. I have too many nodes to try and figure out which one, got added back in. And once in; is it going to meet the requirements of an alert trigger; creating a false alert.
  • Yeah, we had that problem when we moved over to v10. But now we do DB Sync's to bring back all the missed nodes to be able to remove them from NCM. This is my arguement for bringing the Console Back...I would prefer to be able to add/remove nodes from either NPM or NCM as I choose... instead of having to remove NCM first…
  • First off, this is why this community is so great. Life gets in the way, and the answer is waiting for me when I get back. Many thanks wluther, newkidd2, garrethcoleman, garrethcoleman, LadaVarga !! You all ROCK! * Audit Trails is on * I have used the 2nd report, and this is GREAT! - Though I am not seeing a spot for Node…
  • So I have listed the Audit Events, but the node removal is not showing. In the drop down of Nodes, the removed node is not listed; So I am wondering where this data would have been stored; and possibly removed with the process of the node removal. If I can not search for it specifically, due to it not being there I can not…
  • off the top I can only think of things that are offensive red necks, but then again; I'm not offended by them.
  • atripathi, you should be able to do this with a Dynamic Query alerting on Status. But first - to set this option into a single alert and solicit node status change you will need to adjust your Thresholds for CPU and Memory on these boxes. Edit the Node Properties - or select all nodes from the manage nodes page - then…
  • Had a system that was having this issue, it was due to hung services mostly. Also did experience view issues with the VMAN summary while getting that error. SW support was able to get a quick resolution.
  • 802jr; we use that very conflict to tell when a switch change has been mande and the engineer or tech forgot to copy running-config startup-config (wr). Tedious, but then we perform that command and the conflict goes away.
  • Check to see if the information service is running. If not, start it. If it is running you may need a repair. * Repair the SolarWinds Information Service: a) Go to C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers b) Find the Information Service .msi, right-click, and choose repair c) After the repair, make sure the service is running.…
  • Okay, it looks like you get some results. Couple of questions, can you get to the Manage nodes Page? Are Are you missing results from specific APE's? (Check services on the Additional Pollers if this is the case). Have you checked your logs, specifically : Orion.InformationService.log And do you get the same error when…
  • HerrDoktor, you hit it dead on. Good Show!
  • It should show on the controller page, but adding this to a larger Network Summary view it won't show.
  • john.b, you should be able to use the Question Mark to help trace out what specific syntax you need for the SNMP configuration on that device. Use the show command to see what is setup. If there is something that does not look right; blow it out and reconfigure the SNMP. show snmp community show snmp server show snmp user…
  • Thanks!!! But I put them all in the same Table with the Status, for single table display I am using the Tabular OID; 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.13 and 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 for Model and Serial # Display, When you assign, search for 000 and then 0000 to get the Thousands - to make a table for your modules. (Check 1000,…
  • I am going to amend this today. Ticket was input and I called in afterwards - Ticket for VNQM (of which we are running trial) - so no option and I chose NPM.... Support guy gets teh call and asks this is for NPM - even though the subject and body are laced with VNQM reference, and VNQM DB Views...either way he's going to…
  • SO - we have enabled a seperate Poller for VNQM to help with the load. I was noticing the same on our Main / Web Server - Paging would hit critical and things would go sluggish until a large table poll completed, or services on the box slumped off on resources... but it still creates too 'hinkey' of an environment to run…
  • If your Coffee Maker is snmp write capable - IT COULD! RFC 2324 ref: https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2324.txt
  • a lot of these look like individual components that I would find within the composed APM Template ... or in which case where the windows or proper server template did not cover a few said resources or processes in monitoring - I would customize the template Then with the updated / Addendum template I would figure out why I…
  • another frying pan of equal or larger size may be an issue.. then again, just cook your bacon in the larger pan so you can make more bacon. - then monitor with the SW Sandvich Monitor.
  • If you do some training at Loop1 Systems they will get the Breakfast Taco and Green Sauce for you (for some reason they get red sauce too, i think this is for the Gringo's). Per the Monitoring Children, i think the issue is the Bio-integration with the Hardware health monitoring, but for now you can just use ICMP. *You…
  • This link is a great way to poll and show off your status for Fans, Power Supplies & Modules.

  • Okay what specific feature request goes to this issue? I looked but must be blind.
  • Re-Reading the Error - make sure the node did not get put into a group that may be limited from your View. You can automate the alignment based on SNMP values being congruent across systems - if you use any auto sorting/property alignment then check your account limitations, and the new nodes group/sorting values.

  • That is exactly how I alert on them. Condition is Wireless type = Thin Status = Down Those two are under AP Details. What I did add was an ALL condition under that for the node portion (status = up, so this will only alert when AP is down and the Controller is up) so, trigger when all Machine Type contains Wireless (I have…
  • I used to love when users would open an attachment file from email, work in it, click save and then miss it once they close it... after explaining that they were working from a temporary file and how it goes away after they close the appliction/attached file they opened the user would ask.... 'Where did you say it saved?'
  • I would have replied demolition!
  • All the letter's on my keyboard are CAPITAL.. how do you make a lowercase letter?
  • Those are always fun... or when I happen to be holding something with both hands and someone is steadily trying to give me a package or tool.
