We all need help improving some area's... as this thread has helped confirm some things that we show, and makes me want pretty maps like some of these others.... It almost does not matter what is displayed on the map, as long as it looks and is spread out enough to read. I feel put to shame when I See a good map all nicely…

This is a view that I use on my own machine; as the 1st post is what shows on 1 of our 42" monitors on the wall. The Tops AJAX View is the main section that we alert on; that is the sutff we really care about. The 2nd AJAX view are items that we either don't alert on (as the department needed a view or a way to see up/down…

Message Center and look at your Audit Events! This will be it for your newer versions... having it web based makes the accountability reporting easier.

I must agree with the Dynamic Group Setup - having 5K+ Servers it's better to use the contact or location field to build our your parameters/scheme to identify what group it should land in and let your dynamic queries assign the groups. If your our size, you will need another Jr position to end up managing just the groups.…

This would be a fine development, even better if it detected my Bacon nodes and began frying them to crispy perfection! Until this you can press a button here, preferably the UP Button... and here as well, for you crazy button pushers ..

Nexus Operational Status - NexOperStat Nexus Power Status - NexPwrStat These return Numeric values for status. So the alert triggers when the Status of the poller is NOT 2. Alert trigger setup would be Poller name = NexOperStat Status <> 2 and then any other qualifying conditions... I use a machine type contains Nexus, or…

I have not seen a way to highlight this on the switch itself aside from using the UnDP's

We just recently updated to 10.7 and it looks like we still do. The hardware health on many items of the Cisco type seems to be dwindling with each new hardware release by Cisco.
-
ON your boxes where the last boot is not updated in your report, do you see the same on the node details page? Are there any other details on from the node that are not being updated as well? (i.e all graphs are up to current time).
-
Found I had a poller that seemed to have crapped out. Restarted services (not the server itself) and things began picking up on the polling end again. * Overall status was showing - but polled details such as hardware health had stopped updating *

This is why we want a solution, that historical data is too valuable to us

I dig the monitor on top... reminding you, every time you want to lean back and rest; to GET BACK TO WORK!

I mean, I didn't clean it that much. My efforts were less than 20 seconds.

All that desk space and one tiny little square monitor...

Use the Un manage Scheduling Utility from your server, and then use Windows Scheduler to set the time/date/frequency for this un manage to happen. * I find it best to use a service account, something where the password does not change. If you use your account you may have to edit the job each time you change your PW.

NCM logs into the node for config DL. You can have the snmp all wrong, but if your template is good and login credentials correct you will get your configurations.

is this reliant on you having all interfaces monitored?
