Last time I had SANs around the Storage team, 'Had their own monitoring tool' for storage. Go figure we had sluggish file transfer for a couple of years before they actually began to think about a proper fix for it. If Solarwinds was only in place to help, not replace but simply guide them to the issues.

With automation there is also more of a need for programming knowledge, the ability to script and decrypt someone's bad script will be needed. That along with the basic knowledge of whatever you are scripting for just paves the way to the IT Pro.

Voted up, but I would say your best bet for this 'filter' would be a report. * I may be a bit of a report hog, but sorted correctly and adjusted duplications of your reports will allow you to get the conditions you need for every area
