That is a nice break down of our data time zones. This is not something I consider regular shop room chat, in fact specifically I don't think I have ever heard it put like this. Specific Dates or time frames, sure. 30 days, 60 days log retention; even as long as 180 days for some things, logs, stats, events. Understanding…

Oh yeah, SimonEvans I have a few work a rounds. But I imagine things in a perfect world and just expect others will fall in line

Yes the internal KB was very useful. I still have access to it and reference it at times. The hard part was keeping it up to date - at times with personnel changes or lack or things became stagnant. Even with some old data, it still retains it's value.

How many times is a provisioned sub network audited? We consistently enable new ports for some area's and do not always terminate the previous connection - if there is needed use of that port. So having the alerting mechanism to know when your pools are depleting is a huge time saver - I figure the alternative is have a…

come on meow, those types of shenanigans are just the thing we need here.

Hotmail emails = more Thwack Account's since we can only vote once

Because this resets the alert causing any conditions of trigger to send an email again. That action as well when 'Editing' or 'Changing' the alert causes the need for this request. I have seen other monitoring systems with this feature, and by no means is this a 'Why can't SW keep up' as the other application is very…

Was there ever an announcement for this additional 4?

All of these, intensely! The AJAX / TREE View is all Custom Properties broken down into locations and buildings for visual display. My favorite module to use are the Top XX Reports that are malleable to the effect of isolating area's by patient care & non patient care, Distribution & Core, Access Layer, Data Center, Remote…

Business Critical is the key. Noting this to upper management can change the idea that IT is just a department that is always 'in the red' on paper.

Even still I would never be sure of how my systems are working if I did not test it in my own environment. I have concluded the same results. Thanks for your update!

Happy New Year!

* build process? I know we use a lot of image based setups. TA gets their hands on things and builds the image for Desktops. Servers done by DC Ops Folks. We do Network from our templates; then customize for use or application needs. DCOTS works out server patches, usually staged on a box then pushed to production after a…

This is exciting, I am in the middle of setting up a new version in a new environment.... if this is available before my go live date you bet I am going to try and squeeze this in. A version change after the fact is going to be a lot of paper work.

The hard part is making someone understand something they do not think is important. Just one of the aspects of IT that demand skills of another nature. Cause lets get this right, and right from the start.. those sales guys can't do our job, but we have to sell the suits on every idea. Some idea's seem to even need their…

Call MS Support.... ahahahahahaha.

The real moral of the story is, 'Even when you think Microsoft can help... they can not!'

I find this rather easy, for my version at least. I copy the page I want in the web console. Enable Tab Viewing, even though it creates a single tab setup. Do this for all your Tabs... copy, make the new view name then customize the view... pollers, etc... or bind the tabs together then customize. To bind, open the DB…

I had a secret

I would like to see this option come to life! Even a SQL/SWQL query to pull from a db field. It would be nice to add in a specific domain notation

IT was my understanding that it is a seldom-seen mythical beast, believed to be cunning enough to outwit itself.

We are looking to expand on this - adjusting what we do have and enabling our SW Suite to monitor and compare apples to apples (with some other system they use). But I like the Idea that Jfrazier has - maybe not VR but - Google Glass or some other projected screen to allow you to move and shake and still see that flashing…

I worked one place where everyone would look at each other at least once a month and say, "How the heck are we even still in business, as bad as we are?" That just means that everyone else is Worse.

I have had to deal directly with the use of DBs in Sharepoint. Nothing works to well until you convert to SQL. My issue at that point was a massive DB that slowed the load of a form or use within a production system without massive work. Different views were made specifically for the form to use. Even these being much…
