The trap alert does have a threshold that you can set, as well as a delay after the trigger so you do not continuously get emails over and over. - but you need to do it for each node, otherwise the same type of traps from different nodes will build up to your threshold counts.

I am left wondering if it is the process that created the people, or the people whom created the process......I'll wander for a bit, maybe just a byte.

So, when that one guy is there he has to watch the current incoming logs for this monitoring to be 'Real-Time'. So many places come down to the bottom line, as something is not extensively needed as long as they are and remain, "Lucky!" as clubjuggle‌ mentions.
