Lunch BUMP!

30-60 days for most items where I am now... depending on importance there might be a longer duration there. Most things happen or are discovered soon enough that I do not have to look too far back.

All great points, I think the main thing here is how much some people help themselves and how others just want the help. Step-by-step lead me through as if I was blind type of help that I am calling for without the wait is what they want. Only issue is the prompts at that point, the prompt for them to get to the right…

Reasons as you state are a part of the reasons I do not have an E-Z-Tag or thing of the such. It is bad enough that I get my license plate tracked each time I pass through the toll. Whether for traffic currents and municipal planning or pure tracking for the continued nanny state the intensity in which 'monitoring' has…

Only if this is the Cattle Prod Style, so the SW Logo will be Big and recognizable. - maybe the other side could say, "Don't Taze me BRO!" real nice and legible from 30 feet away.

I found that I worked more when able to remote - and had more balance! Now without that option(dang restructure) I feel stifled. Creativity does not live within the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM. And florescent lights hinder the brains activity(possibly).

A workflow that dictates process between more than one department requires approval from all departments... and you may change management to someone who then does not like your 'workflow' So they make work-a-rounds to your workflows... or just don't adhere.

Clients request, tech's provide and document, then we approve the request in IPAM. No not everyone uses IPAM, and we own a few different IPAM solutions - so some of the other "networks" get mapped in another IPAM solution. - it makes things fun and or frustrating some days. So to recap; Manual Request , Manual entry,…

Seriously, why is this not recognized? There is no option for NX-OS in your template types. NPM does pick up on system OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.1353 ; and hit the correct model, but no recognition of the system specifics after that to align it with any specific view. Keeping things up to date is key. Though if you can never find it the desk will just get a call for, helping to find this Process/Application document. I think the internal design is an issue these days for most businesses. If you don't have the user feedback or the ability to create for the user experience your method of…

indeed, pooled or managed resources is our bag, with more money going to hardware and storage to power and serve the vitalized environment.

I think to do this now you may need to monitor each IP as it is 'separate' and then create a group with all entities as members. You at least have a starting point when some of the members go down. I also like monitoring the Tunnels as interfaces on the Node.

Excellent! We have so many different systems watching, a bit of collaboration would greatly enhance our world. Also having an enterprise model, we have different groups that manage some of these tasks. We do often need the insight or extra details that a 3rd party or another system would provide - we use it often. But the…

A Zero (0) setting would be a nice option to create a static page that you can keep up and use F5 for...

This is great.. poller stacking seems like a very useful devise. This will be on my mind moving forward when we migrate to new hardware/vms

Very Interesting, who knew FAT still prevailed in some places.

Instant is the key, who wants to wait for a report?

Very Nice Dez!

I know that's right. There has been some break down regarding account access granularity, but not to the extent that we all dream of. I'm sure that is the reason this remains

Awesome insight, and transferable to alerting as well. Consistent review of systems and interfaces is key - and on your dashboard customize a FEW interface details/problem/error modules to highlight what you want to see (or is critical) and keep it from being duplicitous.

Nice - WinCE is great for the small touch panel!

*Instead of Dancing Pigs or a Cute Dog, it was those stupid Waterfall and Butterfly Screen savers... Circa 2K - I started reading the EULA's. Once this 'screensaver' is installed, the software company X is not responsible for the state of your machine, or the information that may or may not be shared with other 3rd parties…
