My biggest pet peeve is that when you use WMI you lose the Hardware Health monitoring you have with SNMP, though there may be another way of doing this that I don't know about. I also prefer to get topology info as well.

I did contact SW support. A resource called, All Network Connections, which was in the version I upgraded from, is not in this version. Once I removed it by going into Managed Views in Settings, Node Details - Network, it worked.

I've been reading on this and apparently there is a way of pulling SNMP info from WMI, you would just need to write a polling script for it.

VMWare vCenter Operations Manager 5.8.1. I believe it was more of a financial decision than anything to do with the capability of Virtualization Manager. Our parent company have a 3-yr contract with VMWare so we get this virtually free. Any ideas on the .ovf, can we just delete it?

Thanks Mark. I could run a report a week before we schedule the script to run I guess to review. Using the Unmanage option also sounds good.
