Pretty much all application and user experience monitoring is accomplished with the SolarWinds Application Performance Monitor.

There isn't a way that I know of to compare one OID against another as a threshold. However, you can use nested conditions in the alerting logic requiring that multiple conditions be met before an alert is triggered. If the newer version is working and stable then I would stick with it. Instead of downgrading we could try and get you the data you need on the newer version because at some point you will likely want/need to move forward to the newer version anyway.
