Questionario is right, you cannot have two Orions using the same DB at the same time.
-
Not yet, allowing UnDP's on maps is something up on my priority list to add to the product in the future
-
Curious, have you tried this on an install and it didn't work? I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be fine.
-
Questionario, this is how it will be in the next version of NPM with the new VMWare functionality. We will pull all the info via vCenter and give you up/down status, but you have to choose which ones you want to monitor further
-
Have you tried creating your own UnDP to gather what you are specifically looking for?
-
Can you guys please open support tickets. You may want to look at re-running the configuration wizard or running a repair.
-
You are correct, thin AP's do not get counted against the license. What SP are you on? SP2 is the latest SP, have you applied that?
-
Where are you applying this resource, in web Admin page? Have you right clicked on the UnDP in the Universal Device Poller and select Web Display and add to the node details view?
-
Good feedback from all of you. I think the point is obvious, feature is great, but we need to make it easier to set and enable. Have either of you upgraded to SP4? We did make some changes to web node management in SP4 based on ya'lls feedback and you not have paging of results
-
So if you go under web node management you can show interfaces instead of nodes and then use the group by and/or search feature to narrow down the list and then select all the interfaces you want to set to unplugged and edit and select unplugged and submit. How were you doing it?
-
I am not saying never, we are constantly watching the market, but MSFT Hyper-V is our next priority. As you can see in this example of market share, Xen is there, but below others in the market.
-
Have you looked at the Network Atlas Admin Guide here
-
What version are you on? Have you tried creating a UnDP, see here
-
Are you potentially already managing that same device, but on another IP in the system?
-
To put some further details behind this. klc is right the relationship can only be 1:1. To handle many to many or 1 to many you need to leverage dynamic service groups, which is another feature in 10.1
-
Don, we are in beta now on NPM vNext and SNMPv3 traps are in there. Are you interested in kicking it around and giving us feedback? See here for more info
-
If you are a customer with active maintenance and are interested in helping us test SNMPv3 trap support, please DM me via thwack
-
This is not something you can do today, but I like where you are thinking on this. I have logged an enhancement for us to consider adding for the next release
-
So if for example you have Thin AP's you wish to drag onto the map you will have to add those as ICMP only nodes and then you can drag them on. The Controller/Thin AP is a parent child relationship and are treated as one entity from a node stand point. Let me know if this does not achieve what you are looking to do
-
My recommendation would be to create a UnDP for each of the values you would like in the table. When you enable them for the web, be sure to choose table. When you then UnDP resource to the web page, edit the resource and you can select the columns you want in the table.
-
What version are you on? Haven't seen this issue in awhile and this was posted quite some time back. If you are seeing this on a recent version, a support ticket may be a good route to go.
-
We have audit trail/tracking of the Orion app as an open enhancement request in our system currently and this would get covered by it as one of many items. You could look the Windows Task Scheduler if you use the Unmanage Schedule Utility as it currently leverages that to see when schedules are set to occur.
-
kweise is correct
-
Correct, please apply SP2 and you should be able to remove trends from UnDP graphs
-
Odd that this started since you upgraded the NCM integration module. Not sure what exactly is going on, can you open a support ticket?
-
Are you sure you are running 9.1 SP3? We addressed this issue in that service pack. When did you apply SP3?
-
What are you using System Manager for specifically? What was your view for/have in it? I will log the defect, but this will not make SP4 unfortunantly.
-
This is terrific feedback, thank you!! I will be sure these are documented for consideration for a future release
-
Hmmm odd, I just tried to reproduce this on my install and am not seeing the same issues. Do you have additional web servers or just the main Orion?
-
If you have not already, please open a support ticket to look into
