Got it logged, thanks
-
Understood and noted, thanks for posting this, I have opened an item in our tracking system
-
It is an open enhancement to add natively to the product
-
so if Orion does not have the MIB's you are looking for when browsing within the UnDP you can submit a support ticket to get them loaded into the MIB DB. Also when defining the MIB trying cutting and pasting the OID that you are interested in, it should find it
-
Hmm interesting. Also, if you do not want to re-size them all, you can click select the ones you want and do the same re-sizing exercise
-
No and I didn't mean to imply that, sorry. Your post was entitled Urgent so I was walking you through your options today. We have a defect filed in the system to address this bug in a future release.
-
FoE does not protect the database for a many reason. Happy to discuss those if needed. Here are some options for handling SQL. Also the company we license the technology from has an offering just for the Orion DB they sell you can read more about that here.
-
Hmm, it sounds like they are not populating the MIB's properly anymore that we are using. Any chance you can do a MIB Walk of the device in question to verify?
-
We are looking to make this more visible in a future release, however, another method in the meantime, with 9.5, is you can run this utility, which on my system is located at - C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarWindsVersionChecker.exe
-
There is a polling details resource that is typically on the node details page which lists the polling engine
-
Until your next post :)
-
Correct, and ensure all the latest SP's for SQL are applied, minimum SP1 for SQL 2005 and ensure SQL CLR is enabled
-
Interesting, since it is such a rare item, being just a single server, best bet is to open a support ticket to investigate further and gather needed diagnostics
-
You can drop wireshark on the Orion box and get a packet capture and see if SNMP traps are coming into the box or not.
-
Not yet, but you can see the direction we are going there. NCM is in RC now, can't tell you when it will be GA. So you will be able to put configs in there, show commands, diff's
-
Fantastic, glad to hear. So you have those logs being converted to Syslog and being sent to Kiwi Syslog ok?
-
No, not yet. You can find the current system requirements here. Please note from this page, this is currently on 32 bit at this time.
-
OK let me know we have SE's in Cork and Singapore that are closer to your time zone. Stay safe and let me know if you need assistance.
-
That is odd, it does support v1 and v2c and should work. If you can run the diagnostics and send me a note/PM via thwack, I can see if there are any errors in the logs.
-
You may have the wrong report selected since this has to be the Current Status of Nodes, Interfaces, etc…. You may be choosing current Status of Nodes,Volumes, etc…..
-
Go to the latest, v10.1.2 SP1. We fixed some of the node reboot alert issues after 10.1
-
Any chance you can post a screen shot?
-
For stuff we are polling out of the box, no it won't, but I believe it could for UnDP, but let me double check
-
Just to be clear and set expectations here, we are not testing on IE9 for the next version of Orion as it is still in beta mode.
-
Also, what version of SQL?
-
Have you tried to make an osql connection from the command line?
-
So the primary use case you are looking for is replace an existing switch with a new switch and want to retain the interface history, is that accurate?
-
Also in NPM 10.1 we added the ability to directly export a pdf from the web console as well. You can also schedule reports to be delivered in pdf too.
-
What version are you currently running on today with Orion?
-
Donald, get out of my head :) We are looking at exactly these types of use cases from both a networking stand point, but also across product disciplines (Network, System/App, Storage & Virtualization) If you had to list out 5 or 10 common use cases or scenarios you would like to see, what would those be?
