Are you on SP4? If you change back are you still seeing the lock up?
-
I would try to do a rediscovery and then re-poll
-
I have appended y'all to the enhancement request
-
Hard to tell, I am thinking though still SNMP. Another method to check if to get a packet capture with wireshark and see if you see the SNMP response coming back from the device to Orion or not
-
As Yann mentioned, you can download a free trial and check it out for yourself and also read additional feature information and check out our online demo, you can access all these details from this page - http://www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/application_monitor/
-
I just sent a note over to a rep in Sales to reach out to you and get you squared away
-
I think I see what you are saying. It does not have the Orion site frame around it right?
-
Sorry been so frustrating. So I am looking an this enhancement for multiple use cases. For one is the context use case which is becoming more frequent these days in newer devices. The other is for devices sitting behind a NAT or firewall that you want to monitor and you can give them a port number to communicate back and…

Thanks for the heads up, as Jeff said, we released three new products upgrades today (NPM, NCM and EOC), so a lot of customers hitting the site and downloading.
-
Do you know what the proper MIB to get memory is? Is so let us know and I can file a defect if there is an issue. Also you can create a UnDP to gather the CPU.
-
What url are you trying to use and what error are you getting exactly?
-
Yes, this currently only applies to maps at this time, we have an enhancement in the system to allow exactly this in a future release
-
This is absolutely on our list of things we want to enhance. Just a matter of time and priority. Based on feedback from ya'll, internal stuff etc. we have a large list and we are chugging through it as quickly as we realistically can. In the meantime people have created extension to do some specific use cases, like here
-
No this is not, I will ping you offline to get more info
-
So is this still an active issue or are you solved by moving to another box?
-
Fair enough and point taken, but a couple counter points in looking at the bigger picture. You are sitting at home, just had a nice dinner and you get a page/email to manage a new interface your Asia team just turned online. So you boot up your laptop, VPN in, Remote Desktop to the Orion server, open System Manager and add…

Are you evaluating Orion or a customer? If a customer, you can download SP3 from the customer portal. I *believe* from reading your post this may have been addressed in SP3.
-
That should be fine. It should say also not processed cause item already exists in the database, is that correct? The topology is still getting populated and updated.
-
Do you also have Orion NCM installed? Most of the functionality you reference is about making updates or changes to devices and requires NCM to enable
-
Let me bounce this off Aruba. Last I asked them, they told me this info was not available via SNMP
-
I looked in our defect tracking system and found a defect which I believe is the issue you both are reporting and if I am correct, that defect is fixed in 10.0, which is currently in RC. If you would like to get the RC (must be under active maintenance) please PM me via thwack and I can get it to you.
-
Can you open a support ticket and request or assign it to Destiny Martin please
-
we are confirming now, but this appears to be a defect, this should not be showing as down
-
As long as I can have the private jet and estate in the mountains :) Glad it is working for you now.
-
I meant ping me via email :)
-
I am no scripting expert, maybe some other folks here on the forum can assist? Anyone?
-
Odd, what versions are you both on?
-
Nothing I can commit to, I have it logged and we will consider adding it to a future release
-
So first, why do you need an additional poller? Can you not poll the other site from the Orion server?
-
Your best bet is to contact your sales rep to see what you would need, cost etc.
