RC3 should now be available in your customer portal for download and upgrade to.

This is a terrific conversation. I am having a conversation next week with one of the UCS Product Managers to discuss amongst other things, some of the feedback we have seen in this thread. We took a first stab at getting the first level of critical information and then let ya'll help guide us where we need to go to next.
-
I do believe you are correct here. How we can do this with VMWare ESX is you must have the VMWare client tools loaded to tell ESX what the OS IP is. I don't believe UCS has anything like this.
-
Byron, can you open a support ticket so we can investigate further what is going on here.
-
Yes, it should work
-
So what else would you like to monitor on your ESX/ESXi boxes outside of what we provide today?
-
Have you seen this and this in 10.1
-
I believe it should, we have created some out of the box alerts with 9.5, such as Alert me whena Thin WAP goes down
-
I would recommend open a support ticket to address any upgrade issues you come across

Is there product support for the eval version? I guess I can find another logging program if not -but I've always liked Kiwi and worked well with it. Don't want to purchase it in this case if it doesn't work. :( Yes, you can work with the sales rep to get assistance. Are you working with one or no? I can set you up with…
-
GaryP, are you on the latest SP?
-
rgward, Good feedback and as Peter indicated, we have those logged into our system. I cannot commit to a timeframe on when those may be addressed at this time.
-
This is still an open defect we have in the system
-
Check out here, next release we are working on true AD integration
-
To add to Chris's point, see the bottom of this page here regarding our statement regarding VMWare
-
Exactly, what allows this is the engine ID for the additional poller is different
-
We don't have plans to support this in the near future. The costs of developing to this, as well as maintaining this is non-trivial. Plus the costs to our customers to installs and setup are non-trivial as well in comparison to MSFT SQL
-
What you need to do is create a new menu bar which only shows the items you want that set of users to see, then when you go into account management you can select in the drop down this newly created menu bar which limits the options for them.
-
Got it, I have sent on to the right folks on this side to get updated.
-
You can only have one production license key active at any given time. So what we typically tell folks is take a copy of your DB and move to another instance, setup an eval of Orion with that version, run an upgrade and continue to use the evaluation version till you decommission the current production server, at which…

We did add more support for fibre channel switches in NPM 10.1 including out of the box views for WWN info, sensor details, connectivity unit details etc. I recommend upgrading to 10.1 and checking it out
-
There are two installers for NCM, one for NCM itself and one for the Orion NPM integration. Make sure you go both, otherwise you will get this message.
-
Here you go - German Translation Files for DameWare 12.1
-
We are testing the translations to make sure they meet our acceptance criteria, but are not too far off from releasing them. I got an update this morning from our engineering team and I need to review any issues they found.
-
Can you provide some more info. So with 9.5 you can add the controller and via the controller we will poll and display the thin AP's and connected clients.
-
These will most likely need to be enhancement requests for a future rev.
-
https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-191029 Login page + after authentication you can update header/buttons/logo. That’s the extent of what you can do today and there are no workflow changes that can be made. You can update certain strings, so if they use KB internally instead of FAQ, but that seems outside of the scope…

Noted

So the answer is yes to both, we do have plans to add these in the future. Porting alerting over 100% to the web console is a larger task and may take a little longer, if you had the ability to allow users to view existing alerts, enable and disable them would this be good as an interm solution? On the AD side, now that we…

Byrona has a good idea or you could also use a custom HTML resource and take the html from that page and put in there or tweak to you preference.
