Check out this post here Francois just posted last week talking about some new items in vNext and asking folks to sign up for the beta, I think you will be happy.

No offense taken at all, we welcome and appreciate the candid feedback. My main concern was to ensure UnDP was working, although not ideal as you have indicated. As I am sure you have seen, we just released NPM 9.5 and are currently looking at the large list of items for consideration for the next release and what we can…

Let's dig into the performance issues a little deeper. It sounds like a decent box if it is a quad-proc, but we have many other customers running large environments with no problems. * What are the specs of the hardware you are running on? * How many elements are you managing? * Are you running any other modules? * Is SQL…

Jeff is correct, with unplugged ports in NPM 9.5 you should be able to do this
-
If you go to settings and module details you should get a list of all the modules and SP's they are running there.
-
In this beta * JMX and Java based application servers* Now can monitor MBeans via our new JMX component * Wizard based navigation to create and monitor JMX components * Linux/Unix monitors* Now able to return up to 10 multiple statistics per script * Linux/Unix, Windows, and Powershell script components updated * Updates…

I beleive that is accurate. Ideal figures depends on your personal preference and how you want your Orion setup, maybe some community members can share some thoughts.
-
Sorry if my post was mis-leading. We do not support AD at this point in time. I was trying to gauge if we provided AD integration, for those who use TACACS if they would just use the hook with AD.
-
Can you explain your setup further and what the network looks like? You should be able to poll this info just like you could then no problem.
-
For all on this thread, if you have not already, please open a support ticket and reference this thread and include diagnostics please
-
How did it go, did a repair fix you up?
-
So it seems like either you have any ACL blocking access or SNMP is not setup properly on the DC's, can you do some further research into that?
-
Fair enough. Since we had that for when we did not have a web interface and we now have one, we are not really updating that and maintaining that anymore. Let me see if I can find a workaround or another solution.
-
Wow interesting, what version of IOS are you running?
-
Are there specific pages or workflows which are slow and painful? I have a list of some of the areas I am aware of. Also let me know how many users do you have hitting the web console?
-
I will log it as an enhancement request
-
Also, please open tickets with our support team if you keep seeing issues so we can gather logs etc. and diagnose further what is occuring
-
Release Candidate or RC will be starting very soon and we will post up here once that begins as well as send an email out to active customers as well. As you may recall, RC is considered production ready and fully supported by our support team and once we wrap up RC, we will take the RC label off and make it GA.

We can receive SNMP traps and have an alert action to where we can send out an snmp trap based on something we receive, but we don't have the functionality like we do with Syslog where we can store and forward the original SNMP trap message. If you don't need the details of the original message, but can setup a summarized…
-
IPAT: No IPAM Module - yes, on a per subnet basis you can set the scanning interval
-
For alerts, syslog and traps we can send emails or run scripts, so that should situate what you are looking to do.
-
Also depending on the level of depth and functionality you want, you also might want to check out Profiler, see here and here for more info

This is what FoE was designed for, to watch Orion for this type of scenario. Now I realize for some folks, this may be overkill and they want something more basic. Couple ideas to throw out here * You could load our free WMI monitor to monitor Orion or the DB. Now this is only good if you are at your system * If for some…

So when you try to validate the SNMP string what happens in Orion? I would recommend opening a support ticket with us to look into
-
Of course, I will open an enhancement request right now for ya. Internal tracking number is 400025. Item for clarification, would you want each section into its own tab in the single spreadsheet or all dumped into a single sheet?
-
Also, I got an email from one of the members of our Dev team this morning who provided more information on this item. The solution I provided above will work just fine if you are running Network Atlas on the same machine Orion NPM is installed. However, since you can with NPM 9.5 run Network Altas from a remote machine, if…

In the Orion/NetPerfMon/SysLog.aspx.cs file at approximately line 170 there is text that looks like: _maxRecords = Math.Min(Math.Max(_maxRecords, 0), 2000); And in Orion/NetPerfMon/SyLog.aspx at line 108 there is: MinValue="0" MaxValue="2000" ValidatorText="<img src='/Orion/images/Small-Down.gif' title='Value must be a…

Unfortunantly, I cannot provide time frames on when functionality will come out. Not trying to dodge the question, just the rules we have to live by as a public company and priorities can and do change which move around what we deliver and when.
