Do you want to have to manually set the scale or what if it auto-scaled?
-
Yes please try enabling EW on a port and then either wait a bit for the next poll or for that node do a rediscovery and poll now
-
Nothing new with the current shipping version, we are working on it. Can you not run it in compatibility mode?
-
All this issue/bug is resolved in the next version of Orion
-
Gotcha, I met with Eric today and got his input and passed it on to Chris, the NTA PM. Regarding NPM for WAAS what stuff could you or do you pull via UnDP today?
-
What type of QoS data are you interested in or do you gather currently with your workaround?
-
Not sure what you mean on the post. We can suggest it as an answer, but want ya'll to mark it verified if it solves your issue/question
-
Got it, thanks!
-
Can you contact me offline via thwack so I can better understand what you are seeing. Based on what you described, this is not how it should be working.
-
OK, so I got a long, formal answer from Dev. The net net is we support both ways, depending on how SysObjectID is configured at the time of node adding. In Orion 10, we are polling two main areas: SNMP Memory Usage and CPU Utilization of ESX machine.Polling of these values are based on clients Net-SNMP agent…

This is good, thank you for the info Justin. In SP4 we added paging control to web node management, which has helped a lot of people with performance, but we recognize we need to do more there. I disagree with your statement that we are not focused on usability there. We do care about this and have been listening to the…

Orion 9.5.1 does not monitor data stores and we did not add this in 10.0 either. Here was my comment above. So have you seen our recent acquisition, see here This is one of the use cases we purchased Tek-Tools to solve. What we do in 9.5.1 and 10.0 is the same essentially.
-
At this point, I would open a support ticket
-
Have you ever looked at this?
-
If this is still occuring, open a ticket so we can gather info/diagnostics and investigate further.
-
Huh, interesting behavior, I will get these logged with the others into the system to address in a future release. Thanks again for the terrific feedback
-
ok try this out instead in the <appSettings> section. It has been tested on 9.1 SP3 and verified to work <add key="SWOIS.LocalEndpoint" value="net.pipe://localhost/SW/InformationService/Orion"/> <add key="SWOIS.RemoteEndpoint" value="net.tcp://{0}:17777/SW/InformationService/Orion/ssl"/> <add key="proxyAvailable"…

OK, we have also released 9.5 SP1, might want to apply that as well if you have not already
-
Adding UnDP's to maps is still something we have on our list of enhancements to add to the product.
-
OK we have a defect in the system on this right now against 9.5, we are looking to resolve in an SP
-
No, this did not make it into 10.0, this is still on our list of things to do.
-
OK let me know how it goes, that should help with all the job worker threads. But as you can see, SQL is a hog on that box and will eat up as much of the resources as it can. We don't have documentation on the logs that is published, but if you can ask me more specific questions on what you are looking to do, I can attempt…

We can't publicly give a date, but we are in beta now and not too far off from RC
-
It should not. On the R2 interfaces item, we just report back what we find by the IF MIB. We are looking to enhance discovery further to provide more granular control over what we find and display and this is a good example
-
It should work now with AD yes in 10.1. Can you log in with that user into the web console? In the upper right hand corner after you login is it showing the group name and the user account? Also make sure the group has node management rights as well.
-
If this is not working for you and you are a customer, we have a beta for vnext you can sign up for where we introduce topology enhancements if you are interested in helping us test it out.
-
If you are an active Orion NPM customer under maintenance, the RC should be in your customer portal now.
-
Have you applied the latest SP?
-
See my post here
-
Yea, that bug was fixed in an SP on 9.5.
